Author's notes- This is NOT about any FF8 characters, just of Esthar's space agency, and the "real purpose" of the Ragnarok type star crafts. This is the first of five episodes.
Episode One Cast: Gene- Head Design Specialist Sorceress Adel- Sorceress of Esthar/President Biggs- Design Specialist Cain- Sorceress Assistant
Scene opens in a board room with several men and women sitting at a table with Adel, Gene, and Cain at the head.
Cain- All rise for the honourable Sorceress Adel!
Everyone rises, and then sits accordingly
Cain- The reason you have been summoned here is because we...er Sorceress Adel has decided she wants a Castle in orbit over Esthar.
Adel- Cain, sit.
Cain sits down
Adel- All of you puny engineers, I order you to build this Castle in orbit, and a way to transport it into the heavens.
Gene stands and faces the people in the boardroom
Gene- We already have completed the "castle" that will be orbiting the planet, and the problem is...(he turns around and pushes a button turning off the holograms of Cain and Adel) we don't have the vessel to get into space...well we do but we have to conceal some weapons in it, so none of the Adel supporters suspect the entire space agency is in the Adel resistance!
Man- Sir, what do the ships look like?
Biggs walks in
Biggs- Like this (and he pushes a combination on the keypad on the desk, then the holo projector flicks on) a dragon, swift and deadly, although it isn't too deadly without weaponry.
Woman in back- I happen to have several weapon designs that MIGHT work but if Adel's followers found my designs, it would be over.
Man in Front- By the way, what's the plan?
Gene-...Oh yeah, here goes: When the Sorceress's Palace is transported to space the carriers open fire and destroy the palace and Adel in it.
Biggs- Here's where I come in, we have to act quickly. When the carriers drop-off the Palace they have 5.8 seconds to destroy it before it gets it's shields up and scanners operational.
Gene- Speed is a must, so your weapons have to deploy en route without ANY indication
Man- But they'll know we did it...
Biggs- Not a problem we have specally armored the carriers so that when the drop-off happens the armor ejects and bing, bang, boom, we win.
Gene- When the operation is over we then recover Adel's mortally-wounded body and put it into containment at our Cryogenic freezing lab.
Woman- That's it?
Biggs- Yes, it's hopefully foolproof.
Gene- Here's an overview- We use Adel's nitemareish plan against her and turn it into a dream for every man, woman, and child in all of Esthar.
Biggs- Quickly return to your departments and get your plans into action, final designs must be in by the 20th.
All leave except Gene and Biggs
Gene- We're dead if this doesn't work.
Biggs- If this doesn't work, it'll be over my dead body.
Gene- Literally.
