I now say a final prayer...
I kneel in front of the spirits of the Anceints... The Cetra.. My people...
I came to their city to pray. I would raise up my plee from my home alter, not a church in the slum, so far away from this home... My home.
I knew by coming here I would put myself in the way of death... But what is death? A shadow no one can comprehind until it is upon them, and they know it, and it knows them, and engulfs...
What right do I have to live, when so many would surely die? I would be among them anyways... and no one should live forever... All races die at a time... And now it was time for the final Cetra to serve her planet, her purpose, then die...
I saw a figure out of my eye, but I knew it was Cloud. And I knew no matter how much he tried, he couldn't hurt me... even if Sephiroth was in his mind.
I didn't fear Cloud. I wasn't afraid as Cloud lifted his sword to me. He could never harm me. He had a pure heart, and a good purpose, and I knew that alone would stop him. And I also had our relationship. I had always looked to Cloud as big brother, someone who would protect me, and defend me. But not even He could defend me from the descending death. As he dropped his sword, the figure of death burned in My mind, as its shadow overtook me, but I prayed and I wouldn't stop, and I found the strength to pray for my planet instead of just myself, and as the sword entered my back, I finished my final prayer.
The Pain overtook me, and I fell foward feeling the death burn into my back, and I dropped the one thing that would save the planet. But that was Okay, because It had served it's purpose, like I had Mine, and with my final prayer, I began to slip.
My Name is Aeris Gainsborough. I must leave the world to save it, and I must return to it, to help it, and I know now that I will never be Aeris Gainsborough again...
When all had been said and done, Aeris prayer had not gone in vein. The Prayer of the fallen Cetra Warrior had helped the plnet, and that was it's purpose... but it also had it's devestating effects...
After the Meteor came down and destroyed Midgar, it had served its purpose, and the holy prayer, doing only the best for the Planet, Destroy the Meteor. Much of it was shoot back out into space, but some remained on the planet, falling to the ground, destroying villages and killing hundreds.
The energy from the Meteor, the mixes of light and dark, mutated creatures beyond anything that anyone had ever seen. Even the Skill of AVALANCHE could not have defeated them all... Not hat they were alive to do ahything...
After the Meteor had been destroyed, a huge peice of it had hit the small flier that had escaped off the Highwind. It was very badly damaged, and the flier crshed into the side of a moutian near Midgar. They all were killed, except for Nanaki...
After a while, all of the monsters kicked over because the radiation was to much for them, and those who weren't killed by the monsters, radiation, the meteor peices, or the explosion of Midgar, wondered around the land aimlessly till they died of malnutrition, radiation reaments, or another person looking for goods or food.
Soon, just like the Cetra, the Human Race vanshed from the Earth.
And even though it took years to begin, and at least a millineum to get going a new race emerged, through the Blood line of Seto, Through his son, Nanaki...
So Aeris prayer had been answered, and the best for the Planet had prevailed... But Aeris would never know the cost of her One Final Prayer...
