Walking around, trying to forget worse times past, it was too hard for me...although Squall and the others had beaten Ultimecia....I still felt a small part of her inside me, waiting......wanting....revenge. Ultimecia was inside me...my true self at the center of chaos she had created....I was screaming to be freed from her magical grasp when Squall appeared with his gunblade....I screamed out for him to free me but he shook his head....

"Rinoa, you don't understand."

"Understand what??" I screamed, "Tell me what I don't understand!!!"

Quistis appeared next to him and smiled. "That we are meant to be...and you CAN'T stop us....."

"Wha.....? Squall.....don't say it's true....PLEASE DON'T say it's true!!" My eyes were stinging with tears as I found myself unable to move......

"Fine, I won't say......it" Squall smirked.."Now hush Rinoa....and sleep eternally!!" Quistis cackled as Squall plunged the Gunblade into my torso, my heart breaking in more ways than one as I suddenly felt peace as Ultimecia rushed out of my weakening body, leaving me gasping as my heart was dying....as I was dying.

"Sq....Squall..why?" I choked...trying to form words.....

He put a finger to my mouth. "Hush now....."he smirked "It'll all be over soon" Quistis cackled evilly. Thats when I noticed my entrapment...........There were flames everywhere. And red horned monsters...The smell of burning flesh was unmistakable...........I couldn't believe where I was....this was no place for a sweet and innocent teenager, especially one who was dying........then i turned my head to Squall......his eyes looked murderous almost, and yet, they looked distant, as if he was in another world.........

"Sure" Squall gave out a hearkening cry as I felt his hands tighten around my bloody neck and choke out what air was left inside me. I felt light and carefree but at the same time scared as I saw the menacing figures go darker...darker...and to black......

"Aggggghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!" I gasped for air as I awoke in my room.I was full of sweat, "A dream....it was all a dream??" It felt more like reality than a fantasy.....I looked around, it was already light, shoot! I was supposed to go get a new outfit for the upcoming hero's ball in a few months time...never mind, the garden was already moving now as I stepped out onto the balcony to think.......I felt the morning air breeze through my dark hair, the birds coming to sit on the balcony rail, eager to find rest.

I sat down and thought for a while, "That was the fourth bad dream I've had" I shuddered, I don't know what I was suspicious of, or why I was suspicious, I knew that Quisty liked Squall, come on! Everyone likes Squall.........but I didn't know if he liked her? Or me? "Come on!" I sniggered, "Squall like Quisty!! They are so wrongly matched!!" I laughed off the uneasiness of the whole thing and walked back in the room, Hmmmmmmm better keep out of Squalls and Quistys way until I feel better, I thought.

I put on some clothes and went out of my room and past the dorms. I saw Zell trying to get a Chocomog game card off a six year old kid near the fountain, I laughed as the kid took a Quistis card from Zell kicked him and ran off leaving Zell shouting after him.

"Hey!! I know your name!!!" Zell screamed after the kid "Why I ought.......Oh hi Rinoa!" He suddenly changed his tone of voice and looked at me....."How's things?"

"Fine.......fine, yeah. So how are you?"....better leave the dream, I shuddered....I'll only know this one.....

"Yeah it's been ultra great since the whole Ultimecia thing!! I get hotdogs whenever I want now!!" He broke into song "If ya love weenies, then you gotta love our........damn!! Always forget that line!!" I laughed, it had been ages since I had laughed being truly happy and at ease. "Are you going to see Squall?" Zell asked me .

My mood instantly changed....Squall..........

"I dunno..... I might not see him today"

"Wha...what's happened??"

"N...nothing! don't worry Zell, were fine" I reassured him as I walked on

"Uhhhhhh...ok then!! See ya Rinoa!!" Zell shouted back.

"See ya." I ran on, I couldn't deal with all the happiness in the world...I felt bleak and unnoticed......by Squall, damn this! Where had my spark gone? I turned the corner into the main part of garden. I had my head down thinking as I walked. I don't know......why me.........why him......why HER.........I crashed into someone and we both toppled onto the floor....damn kids...why the hell are they always running around like they own the damn.........

"R....Rinoa um....hi! How ar..are you?" I sniffed the air around Quistis..fear, that was it....I had fear all over me when I woke up from my dreams..could she have had a similar dream too?

I got to my feet

"Fine Quistis." I forced a smile, "How are you? Haven't got too much work have you?"

"Uhhhhhhh no! Im' fine, thanks!" Quistis flashed a smile "Well I must be going...im needed.......at the bridge! See you soon!" She hurried off.

"Quistis!!" I shouted out, "Have you seen SQUALL around?" "Uhhhhhhh.....ummmmmmmmm......no I think he is still asleep!" Quistis convinced "Why? Are you looking for him??" "Yeah! Oh well I have a key..thanks Quistis" I smirked as I threw up the keys and caught them "Sure......" Quistis gritted her teeth ,"Don't mention it".....she walked off....hmmmmmm strange I thought...

I carried on to Squalls room and knocked on the door

"Squall! it's Rinoa!" I looked at the ring on my neck...Squall had given me it and I loved it, it had been the one thing he treasured and he gave me it.

No answer? I took a bronze key and ran it through the door. It beeped and I pushed the door open, "Squall?" I walked in and saw Squall on the bed , his eyes were wide open....what's the matter? I thought. I edged closer to him nervously, wondering what was happening to him, his face emotionless...had he died?

I walked over to him and put a hand on his body, it felt cold....now I was worried.....I moved up from his solar plexus to his heart.....thump thump.....thank god he is alive.......then his hand shot for mine and gripped tightly...."Ow Squall....ow ow ow ow!!" I squirmed my hand away from his, "What the hell are you doing!!" I jumped up and looked at him, his face pale,he then blinked and got up.........

"Squall....."I began" what's the matter? you seemed distant......almost in another world......." then it hit me...the dream..nah...it couldn't be....could it?"

"Rinoa.....I was so scared..." he began he moved nearer towards me and rubbed his hand up my arm. "You were there and Quistis....." My mind was focused on that part about Quistis....I wasn't listening to the rest although as a devoted girlfriend I should of.....I snapped out of it and went back onto Squall

"And Ultimecia was controlling you and we were all there and I.......ah......forget it...."

"What?" I was intrigued now at what he had to say. "Go on Squall......what happened?"

"Well...uh........" he began

"Yes?"

".................."

"Squall what's going on?" I hoped I wasn't close to the truth but I wasn't too sure.

"Well we were all there and Ultimecia said that if I kissed you that ..... One kiss and you would have been dead. But sadly, its not meant to be. You had to wisen up"

"Huh?" now I was puzzled "Look, Squall, I think you need some sleep or something.........

He touched my face "Rinoa what would I do without you...and the others......."

"I don't know..." I trailed off and looked at the clock on the wall...it wasn't even 11:30 yet and the day was going terribly, I had Squall down in the mouth.....deluded..... and myself dreaming of chaos and death....and it was scaring the hell outa me.....but I had to be strong....for Squalls sake and my own...

"Get some sleep Squall, you look terrible" what was I saying? he looked sexy!! But he was exhausted, I could tell. "Thanks Rinoa." Squall kissed me on the cheek....guess he wasn't up for snogging.......

"See you tomorrow." I whispered as I moved towards the door.....that smell? almost of...fear??!! it was near enough to the smell around Quistis...and myself......now I was worried...what the hell is going on? Different scenarios rushed through my head...Squall and Quistis, Squall and me...it didn't add up........One thing was for sure, I was gonna find out. I closed the door and walked down the corridor to see Quistis flash me a deadly look...I frowned....ok thats it! Something is going on....I had a gut feeling.....I walked down the steps and towards the library...I was going to have a little talk to Quistis
