Class Types

Necromancer
The Necromancer makes deals with the dead.
His skill groups include Curses, Summoning,
and Mind Control. His curses will cause
damage to monsters (and players) over time,
such as reducing their total hit points to half their
original value. He can also summon monsters
to fight for him or take control of already living
monsters. Although dark, his powers can be
used for light. As a result of his secluded study
in dark, dank mausoleums, his figure is gaunt
and pale. He may not be strong, but his powers
are nightmarish" - Blizzard

Paladin
"The Knights of Westmarch who felled the
armies of mighty King Leoric are pure
at the heart and follow closely the
teachings of Zakarum, the Religion of
the Light. A battle-ready warrior for
whom faith is a shield, he fights for
what he believes to be right.Furthermore,
his steadfastness gives him powers to do
good upon friends, and wreak cruel justice
upon foes. There are those who call the
Paladin an overwrought zealot, but others
recognise in him the strength and goodness
of Light."- blizzard

Barbarian
The Barbarian is a member of any of
several tribes living on the fringes of
civilization, and refusing the influence
to those he sees as soft and weak.
Ceaseless clan warfare and the constant
struggle to survive in the hostile
wilderness are reflected in the Barbarian'
sturdy and powerful frame. Though perhaps
lacking the sophistication of city-folk,
the Barbarian has an acute awareness of
his surroundings.Because of his shamanistic
belief in the animal powers with whom he
identifies, the Barbarian is sometimes
associated with stories of lycanthropy.In
fact, he believes he can call upon totemic
animal spirits to infuse him with supernormal
strengths and abilities, but these only work
to improve his already superb battle-tactics."-blizzard

Sorceress
One of a sect of rebellious women who have
wrested the secrets of magic use from the
male-dominated Mage-Clans of the East, the
Sorceress is an expert in mystical creation.
Though somewhat lacking in the skill of
hand-to hand combat, the sorceress
compensates for this with fierce combative
magics for both offense and defense.
Solitary and reclusive, she acts based on
motives and ethics inscrutable to most,
sometimes seeming capricious and even
spiteful.In reality, she understands the
struggle between Order and Chaos all too
clearly, as well as her role as a warrior in
this battle and from the gameplay and
eyewitness accounts to date, that has been
backed up."-blizzard
Amazon
This powerful woman warrior belongs to
nomadic bands who roam the plains near the
South Sea. The wandering of these groups
often brings them into conflict with other
peoples, so the Amazon is accustomed to
fighting to defend her own. This lifestyle
has made her fiercely independent and able
to weather severe hardship and travel. While
her skill with the bow rivals that of the
Rogues, the Amazon is also adept in the use
of spears and other throwing weapons, as
well as in hand to hand combat. The Amazon is
much sought after as a mercenary, in which
type of service she will be loyal as long as
her own ends are also served."-blizzard

Assassin
"Assassins are those who are only rumor. They
are whispers in the night, faint noises in the
woods just beyond your vision. They do not employ
the magical arts directly, but rather use enchanted
items that mimic elemantal powers. As the folks at
Blizzard put it, to further avoid potential corruption,
they focus on the natural abilities of the mortal body,
powers of the mind and unarmed combat. The Assassin's
skills are important to employ in all skill areas to be
successful. When the skills are combined properly, she
is a formidable force in the fight against eternal evil.
With her variety of traps, martial art skills, and shadow
diciplines, she is by far a superior warrior. "-blizzard

Druid
"The Druid is the master of the natural
world and, as such, is able to change
his form into that of an animal. His
powers for transmagrification into animal
form include the Werebear and Werewolf,
both of which are powerful and formidable
creatures. The Druid is also the master of
Elemental and Primal magic, whih gives him
control over elemental forces such as fire
and wind, but also allow him to utilize a
myriad of plants and animals to secure
himself when faced with mortal danger. Many
Druids have been saved by a Life-Giving
vine that sucks the health out of corpses
while a giant cave bear stands at his side
to defend him."-blizzard
