Here is your report for the September PPV.

Promo
  -No Mercy started off with a promo of the upcoming Main Event, 
showing the history of Vince vs the Rock.  After which, Jim Ross
promised tonight would be a night in history.

Dean Malenko beat Mikey Whipwreck via the Texas Cloverleaf ***1/4
  -A very good Light Heavyweight match to start off the PPV with Mikey
going after the title.  The Iceman, however, showed why he IS the best
Light Heavyweight in the WWF by locking on the Texas Cloverleaf and
SQUEEZING a submission out of Mikey.

Backstage
  -The Acolytes are shown just waiting for a fight.  Justin Credible
and Shane Douglas approach them and tell them that they want a fight
here tonight.  The Acolytes quickly agree and we have an added match.

Backstage
  -Bret Hart, Vince McMahon and Kevin Nash are shown in the back 
talking over strategy for tonight's World Title match.

Billy Gunn beat Bart Gunn via the Fame-ass-er *1/2
  -The battle of the brother's Gunn here was just an out and out brawl.
Bart was looking for revenge on the attacks that Billy made on him but
it did not come tonight.  Billy was able to hit a Fame-ass-er as Bart
was getting back in the ring and Billy picked up the win.

Post-Match
  -Billy stomped down on Bart until the save was made by Johnny Ace.
Then the Acolytes came down and cleared the Movement out of the ring,
saying they wanted THEIR match now!

The Acolytes beat Justin Credible and Shane Douglas via a Clothesline
from Hell *1/2
  -The Acolytes decimated yet another young tag team that stepped in
their paths.  Faarooq and Bradshaw are looking for another match with
T&A but they settled for two young guns here tonight.  Bradshaw took
out Credible with his Clothesline from Hell to get the pin.

Post-Match
  -The Acolytes left to look, presumably, for T&A.

Backstage
  -Crash Holly was seen trying to tell the Shamrocks that they HAD to
destroy Blackman tonight.  Crash seemed genuinely afraid of Blackman.

Backstage
  -T&A and Trish Stratus are seen going over strategy when the Acolytes
burst in through the doors.  The Acolytes say that they want a shot at
T&A in the ring, in the parking lot, it doesn't matter to them.  T&A
tell them that they have other plans tonight but the Acolytes WILL get
their shot.

Ken Shamrock beat Steve Blackman via the Ankle Lock Submission *1/2
  -Two great martial artist style fighters in this match.  Crash Holly
was at ringside acting like a cheerleader for Shamrock.  This was
enough distraction for Shamrock to hit a legsweep and Ankle Lock on
Blackman to get the submission win.

Post-Match
  -Holly climbed in the ring and made fun of a hurt Blackman for 
losing. Blackman got back to his feet and grabbed his kendo sticks.  
Crash was out of there as Blackman took off after him.

Backstage
  -Goldberg was interviewed by the UFC cage.  He said that the time for
talking is OVER.  It's time to put up or shut up and he will be the one
taking Bas Rutten OUT.

Backstage
  -Chris Jericho is interviewed.  Jericho said that he didn't care what
happened last Monday night.  He will STILL beat The Big Show tonight
because that is what the Jerichoholics want to see!

Bill Goldberg beat Bas Rutten via knockout
  -We have a NEW UFC Champion in the form of Bill Goldberg!!  The 
unbeaten superstar cut Bas open several times and was actually cut open
himself during the match.  However, Goldberg was able to hit a flurry
of punches and KNOCK OUT the UFC veteran to win the gold.

Backstage
  -Crash is seen moving stealthily through the halls, peering around
each corner to make sure that Blackman is not there.  Blackman, 
however, is able to sneak up behind him.  Crash turns, screams and 
ducks a kendo stick shot, running down the hall.

Interview
  -The Rock is brought out to the ring for an interview about tonight's
card.  He said that he has NO doubt that tonight will be written down
in history.  It will be written down as the night that the Rock kicked
Bret Hart's candy ass up and down this great arena before hitting him
with the Rock Bottom and getting the pin.

Chris Jericho beat Paul Wight via a fire extinguisher shot -1/4*
  -NOT a very good match here for the Intercontinental title.  Big Van
Vader came down to ringside early to watch the match.  Vader's presence
was a key factor as he tossed Y2J a fire extinguisher and distracted
the official as Jericho knocked the Big Show out!!  The referee turned
around and Jericho picked up the win and a successful title defense.

Post-Match
  -Vader slid in the ring and dragged Wight over to the corner, hitting
several Vader Bombs.  The Big Show had to be taken out on a stretcher.

Backstage
  -Bret Hart was interviewed as he rebutted what the Rock said earlier.
Bret said that tonight he would take back what he never truly lost when
he left the WWF before: the World Title belt.

T&A beat Kidman and Christian via a Sitdown Choke Bomb *
  -We have NEW WWF World Tag Team Champions as T&A picked up a huge 
win.  Kidman and Christian did NOT look focused on this match and 
argued several times.  Kidman, finally, left ringside as Christian fell
victim to an Albert Sitdown Choke Bomb and Albert got the pin for T&A.

Post-Match
  -The Acolytes came down to ringside and brawled with T&A.  A ton of
officials came from the back to break it up.

Backstage
  -Vince McMahon told Bret that it was time to lace them up because the
match was next.

The Rock beat Bret Hart via the Rock Bottom ***1/4
  -A very short match for the World title that didn't really show too
much of both athletes.  The Rock hit a spinebuster and People's Elbow
early but Vince put Bret's foot on the bottom rope.  Finally, the Rock
nailed Bret with the Rock Bottom in the center of the ring and got a
big pin.

Post-Match
  -What happened here is what made this night unforgettable.  The 
return of TRIPLE H!!!!  Hunter Hearst Helmsley came out to the ring and
attacked the Rock from behind!!  The Game hit a Pedigree on the Rock!
Bret came over and Triple H NAILED him!!  Apparently the Game is on his
own!!  The show ended with a close-up of an intense HHH.

Well this is a suprise, me actually writing a column sort of thing
eh?. Well I thought I would give you all the reason why I haven't
been myself in the last few months. Well my family had a tragedy
in January with my father dying from cancer which was a total shock
for us all and especially me. It actually broke my into tiny little
pieces as you can all probably expect so this is the reason the TNM
Basement has not been the same in the last few months. I'm sorry 
for all the anger and the frustration I have caused. I promise I'll
get the TNM Basement back in order. If you wanna tell me anything
or make a comment on the TNM Basement then please email me.

Well the TNM scene had really quietened down badly until the 
commentary plugin arrived on the scene. On first impressions its
good. But I dont think I would use it a lot as I prefer the normal
"computerised" format.

Thanks to all of you people who went on Yahoo Messenger and send me
thinks. Thanks go to Peter Abrams down at TNM UK, and tnmcenter who
I didnt catch the real name of. You've got a good site there 
tnmcenter, send me the link when you get a chance and I'll stick it

DO NOT send any attachment files. Just cut and copy the

RESULTS". The results which are sent in will all be put in 
the newsletter. Also if you would like a link here then 
please email me at the normal email address with the subject 
heading as "TNM LINKS" and also please give a description of 
your site. The link will be put on the newsletter and the website. 
Also if you wish to request an TNM export or if you just want to 
send in a question relating to TNM or wrestling in general you 
can do this just email me and I'll try to answer it but it
