FED HEAD: Brian Sanders (midgetboy6388@hotmail.com)
FEDERATION NAME: ICW

CARD NAME: Breakdown LIVE on PPV

7/23 Breakdown LIVE on PPV

[MTV Countdown]:
Mankind pinned Crash Holly after a piledriver in 0:08:40.
Rating: ** 1/4

This started everything off on MTV. Two of ICW's top
stars went at it in a hardcore match, with Mankind piledriving
Crash through a table to win the match. They shook hands afterwards.
Then we saw a preview of all the matches on Breakdown, all based on
bitter feuds. The overall TV Rating for MTV Countdown was 2.7.
Then the show went LIVE to PPV.

The Dark Side defeated Rey Misterio Jr. and Chris
Benoit when Undertaker pinned Misterio Jr. with the Tombstone in
0:06:01.
Rating: ** 1/4

This, of all the matches on Breakdown, extends the
furthest back. Way back to even before M.E.W. got its TV deal. Wagner
and Rey started out, both battling each other equally, then both
made the tags to their partners. Taker dominated Benoit and then
tagged in Wagner, who also dominated Benoit, and then tagged in to
Taker. The Dark Side had great teamwork in this match.
Taker quickly tagged ib Wagner and he continued to isolate Benoit.
Wagner threw him to the outside, beat him up a little, then threw
him back in. However, while Wagner was coming in, Benoit dove and
tagged in Rey. Rey jumped in and hammered on Wagner with tons of
energy, who tagged in Taker. Rey did some moves on both of them,
Benoit came in, and it was 2 on 2. Rey and Benoit hit some
great double team moves, then Benoit and Wagner went to the floor.
Rey then ran into the ropes with an attempted Asai Moonsault, but
Taker caught him in mid air and drove him down with the Tombstone!
1-2-3 it's over! However, that wasn't the end of things. After the
match smoke filled the ring, and when everything cleared up, Taker
was gone! Keep in mind, when Taker disappears under his own
power, it is usually with the lights going off. What could this mean?
Wagner had no idea what to think afterwards. What happened next
hardly gave us an answer. Up in the rafters we saw the back of
someone with a colorful foot-length coat on, but couldn't see much
else of him. We also saw Taker in his grasp! We had no
idea what was going on.

The show went to Bischoff's office with the Corporation in there.
"OK guys you know the plan. We've got the two next matches won
for sure if none of you screw up."

The show went to "Mean" Gene Okerlund talking with Douglas.
"Shane Douglas, you're career is on the line right here against the
most powerful men in ICW. How do you expect to win this thing?"
"Well Gene, all I can do is show Bigelow how it feels to be
Franchised! You think I give a f*** about ICW anyway when it's run
by Bischoff? Either way I get away from B***h B***h B***helow. If I
get away from Bischoff too, all the better. But remember this Gene,
whether I'm gone after the next match or not, ICW hasn't heard the
last of the Franchise!" He cracks up laughing, then we go to the
ring.

Falls-Count-Anywhere Loser-Leaves-Town Match:
Bam Bam Bigelow pinned Shane Douglas in 0:02:13.
Rating: *

With all the surprises after the first match, we had no
idea what to expect in this match. And there's no way we could have
expected this. Right when Douglas hit the ring the entire Bischoff
Foundation attacked him. However, then Bowie's men ran out and fought
them off, leaving just Bigelow and Douglas in the ring. Douglas
brought in a chair and a table and dominated Bigelow. Right there and
then he hit the Pittsburgh Plunge through a table! It seemed as
if he was gonna end Bigelow's career, but then the one thing we never
could have expected happened. Douglas layed down and pulled Bigelow
on top of himself! The ref hesitated but counted the 1-2-3 to end
Douglas' career! Everyone including Bischoff and Austin stared at
the ring in shock. Douglas flipped them off and left! Okerlund tried
to stop him but Douglas hit him with the Pittsburgh Plunge! From
that we rolled right into the next match with the Hardcore Alliance
and Destroyers.

Elimination Match:
The New Hardcore Alliance beat The Destroyers 2 falls to 0:
x Raven beat Vader via a dropkick in 0:07:50
x Raven beat Kane via the Evenflow DDT in 0:11:27
Survivors: Raven, Richard Afflis Jr.
Rating: ** 1/4
(The New Hardcore Alliance retained the ICW World Tag Titles.)

The crowd was still stunned from the happenings earlier in the night.
This match was highly anticipated, but then let people down
because of the first two matches. The two teams brawled, never really
settling down to old fashioned tag wrestling, it was more of a Texas
Tornado match. The first elimination came when Bischoff was
distracting the ref, Afflis and Raven hit a Double DDT on Kane, that
brought a table into the ring. Vader had been hammered onto the
table, and when he got up, Raven dropkicked him right through it!
Bischoff then let the ref go and Raven got the pin on Vader. Then
Afflis and Raven worked on Kane. Well, moreso he worked on them! He
dominated them. He hit a Choke Slam on Afflis and turned around to
do the same to Raven, but he kicked him in the gut and nailed the
Evenflow to get the win!

The show went to Bischoff's office with Booker T, Bischoff, and the
Rock. Booker T was yelling on Bischoff. "You just don't get it, do
you?! I am not laying down for the Rock! I don't care what you'll do
to me if I don't, I won't give up my shot just because you can sit
behind your fancy desk. I'm a 3 time TV Champ, the Global Champ,
and you're telling me you don't think ICW would be marketable with
me as Champ? Well, you're wrong sucka. With the Rock as champ,
there is no money flowing to you, with me as champ, there would be,
and I'm not laying down. You got that?" "Booker, I know you better.
You expect me to believe you're worried about my money? Well, if you
are, then you're care about the $100,000 of my money that would go to
your bank account if you lay down." "I have more class than that
Bischoff. I'm not gonna- d*mn thats a lotta zeros!" "Heh, I knew
you'd see it my way."

Death Match:
Test beat Ken Shamrock 3 falls to 0:
x Test beat Shamrock via the Pumphandle Powerslam in
  0:12:05
x Test beat Shamrock via the Pumphandle Powerslam in
  0:16:42
x Test beat Shamrock via the Pumphandle Powerslam in
  0:25:32
Rating: ***

The two wrestlers who once were the Union went at it with
all their hatred between each other tonight. Test dominated the
first fall. He destroyed Shamrock and got fall #1. It didn't take him
much longer to get fall #2. Then the third fall was a classic.
Shamrock finally got some offense going, and they brawled. Simply
brawled. They pounded the crap out of each other with just punches
and chops and kicks over a minute. Neither really got control. Test
went for a Pumphandle Powerslam, but Shamrock countered it in midair
with a Frankensteiner. He tried for the Ankle Lock, but Test booted
him in the face. They both stayed down for a bit, exhausted. Then
right before the ref hit 10, Test got up and fell into
the turnbuckle, but stayed on his feet, but he was facing the crowd
and didn't see Shamrock getting his 2x4. Then Shamrock came from
behind and nailed Test in the back with it! Remember, it's
no DQ. Shamrock then pulled him to the middle of the ring
and put on the Ankle Lock! We were sure Shamrock would get his first
fall and further extend the match. Test started to crawl to the ropes,
but it was no use. Right before he got there, Shamrock pulled him
back to the middle. But he didn't realize something. Test had
grabbed the 2x4, which Shamrock dropped in the ring, before Shamrock
pulled him back to the center of the ring! So Test swung it
over his head backwards and nailed Shamrock right in the head! Right
before the 10 count from the ref again, Test somehow got on his feet
and hit Shamrock with the Pumphandle Powerslam! And then we were once
again stumped by what happened afterward. Curt Hennig, Scott Norton,
Wrath, and newcomer Kurt Angle came out and attacked Test! They
hammered away on someone who was already badly beaten. What was this
all about? Scott Norton was more cleanly-shaved than usual,
and Wrath didn't do much. Hennig grabbed a mic and declared them the
All-American Noblemen! The crowd booed their heads off at this show of
disrespect.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:
King Kong Bundy pinned Mitsuharu Misawa with the
Avalanche in 0:13:24.
Rating: * 3/4

This match was just signed this Thursday, as was the next
one, but the two still hated each other. The two brawled early on,
with Misawa taking control. He went for the early Tiger Driver, but
couldn't get him up. Bundy was just too big. Bundy dominated for a big
but then Misawa came back with a running forearm smash. He then really
got the crowd excited as it seemed it was time for the Tiger Driver.
He got him about a foot of the ground and Bundy fell back
down to the ground. He tried it and got him up again, but this time
Bundy fell on top of him! Bundy got up, nailed the Avalanche, and that
was it for Misawa. Bundy proved he is still a dominating force, just
like he was 15 years ago, only he's wrestling Misawa, not Hulk Hogan.

Match for the vacant ICW World Television Title:
Randy Savage pinned Kevin Nash with the Flying
Elbow-Drop in 0:14:22.
Rating: ** 1/4
(Randy Savage won the ICW World Television Title.)

Savage and Nash battled hard for the TV Title. They spent
some time on the floor early, and in a slugfest. Then Nash took
control. But Savage got him to the floor and took control again. Not
long later, they were on the floor again, and Nash Power Bombed him
on the floor! He rolled him back in and seemed like he had
him, but Savage showed he was still a great competitor by
kicking out! They battled for a while more. Savage hit Nash with an
elbowsmash, then went up top and nailed the Big Elbow, but Nash
kicked out! Savage was shocked and was arguing with the ref, when
Nash came from behind, spinned him around and kicked him in
the gut! Then Nash had Savage set for the Jackknife,
when Bischoff jumped up on the apron, distracting the ref. The Rock
entered the ring and nailed Nash with the World Title belt! He left
the ring and Bischoff jumped off the apron. Savage climbed
up top and hit the Big Elbow to win his second TV Title!

Triangle Match:
X-Pac defeated Juventud Guerrera and TAKA Michinoku
when X-Pac defeated Michinoku by disqualification in 0:18:35.
Rating: ** 1/2
(TAKA Michinoku retained the ICW Juniorweight Title.)

A classic showing of what the Juniorweight can do. Right
off the bat TAKA had a nearfall with a Frankensteiner. There were
many near falls over the next 17 minutes. The three battled each
other, never letting another take control. Finally X-Pac hit Juvi with
an X-Factor and sent him to the floor, leaving him and TAKA. He
nailed TAKA with a spinwheel kick and set him in the corner for the
Bronco Buster! He came at TAKA hard but Bischoff was standing on
the apron and nailed X-Pac with the Juniorweight belt! The ref
quickly called for a DQ and they escaped, but left Juvi with the
belt! When X-Pac got up he thought Juvi hit him and was angry and
attacked him, and he took him down the aisle and threw
him off the stage! Then you'd think he'd have common sense, but he
didn't. When Juvi got up, X-Pac came off the stage with a flying
spinning leg lariat onto him. The two were both out cold.

Booker T pinned Rocky Maivia in 0:15:49.
Rating: **** 1/2
(Booker T won the ICW World Title.)

The highly anticipated match. Would Booker T lay down?
Yep. The Rock simply touched him and he went down! So then when Rocky
was coming down to pin him, Booker T rolled him up with a small
package, and just that was the biggest pop of the night! So he and
Rock battled a classic battle. At first Rocky was in control, but
then it just became a back and forth legendary battle. They battled
all around ringside, and then things broke out. Booker T
attempted a Harlem Side Kick, but the Rock ducked and Booker nailed
the ref. Then Rock had Booker set up for the Rock Bottom, when Kevin
Nash ran in and nailed him with a boot to the face. Bam Bam Bigelow
ran out and knocked Nash to the floor, while Booker T was going up top.
Bigelow stood between Booker and the Rock, and Booker knew
he couldn't hit the Missle Dropkick on a fresh man. Randy Savage came
out of nowhere and shoved him off the top right into Bigelow who
nailed him with a powerslam! Austin came out and Stunned Savage on the
floor! Bigelow was about to hit the Greetings From Asbury Park on
Booker T, when SHANE DOUGLAS ran out and nailed him with a chair! He
hit him with the Pittsburgh Plunge, then sent him to the floor.
However, he turned right into a Rock Bottom from Maivia! Austin
ran in and Stunned Maivia! TAKA, Raven, and Afflis came
out but Kane and Vader stopped them, and X-Pac finally got off of
Juvi and got back up on the stage. He ran out and accidentally hit
Kane with a spinwheel kick, and Raven and Afflis hit Vader with the
Double DDT. They ran in the ring and did the same to Austin. However,
Booker T was still up and nailed them both with Harlem Side Kicks!
Douglas then ran in the ring and nailed Booker T with the
Pittsburgh Plunge! Yes Booker T! Nash came in the ring and Jackknifed
Douglas to the floor! The Rock got up and was about to hit the
People's Elbow off the ropes when Kevin Nash hit him with a
baseball bat right in the gut, then Jackknifed him! Then
Bigelow entered the ring and clotheslined Nash out, taking himself
with him. Everyone was either out cold or occupied when Booker T
crawled on top of the Rock! The ref made it over, made the 1, the 2,
Bigelow tried to pull him out but he hit 3 before Bigelow got him out
of the ring and Booker T became the NEW ICW CHAMPION in a
great match!!! However, Bigelow wasn't done. He hit the Greetings
From Asbury Park on Booker T right on top of the belt, and his music
played as the cameras faded from one of the biggest nights in ICW
history!

MTV Countdown Rating: 2.7
