I. Chapter One of the TNM/Zeus War!
II. Current Wrestler Rankings in Beaners View
III. NEW INFO ON WWF ATTITUDE!!!
IV. ECW Living Dangerously Run-Down

Welcome to the second edition of Beaners Roody-Poo Wrestling
View, edition number two! Last week, we looked at some of the
top wrestlers in the business, and some of the reasons that the
WWF, is ruling the ratings, and why ECW may be the wave of
the future. But this week, we jump from the ring, to the screen,
and start to compare the two hottest wrestling simulators on the
internet today, TNM 7.0, and the newly released Zeus 3.0, known
now as z3. So sit back, scroll the screen, and enjoy, and dont
forget all opinions, and stuff like that is appreciated, as we look
at TNM 7.0, and what an impact it's made to the wrestling world!

==========
TNM 7.0
==========

TNM, otherwise known as TourNaMent, which was created back
in the day by Olliver Copp, is the most famous, and most productive
simulator for the sport of professional wrestling, ever. To start this
out, let me tell you when I first learned of the great game. I was out
of town, visiting my Aunt, and Uncle in Pennsylvania. They live out
in the country, not much to do, but they did have America Online,
which was something new to me, since I had not experienced being
online in my life, only heard about it. So I logged on one night, and
surfed the Sports channel, coming across Sports Downloads, and
noticed this wrestling simulator. After a good five minutes of down-
loading the file, I learned on my own to unzip it, installed it, and
started it up.

Now what's the first thing we all saw, in TNM 6.2? We saw words
of wrestling, that had never been seen before. We saw "Circuits",
we saw "Database", and "Gimmicks". Now this is coming to some-
one who still watches the WWF, and thinks that Big Bossman
is _REALLY_ arresting Mr. Perfect. This is coming from someone
who still thinks that Sgt. Slaughter is _REALLY_ representing IRAQ,
against Hulk Hogan, who is _REALLY_ Immortal. We were learning
"Insider Terms", and we didn't even know it!

I started my own circuit, after reading the instructions, I created the
WWF, and after about twenty minutes, ended up with a 25 man
roster, and my first five cards. I was in heaven, I had heard of games
on the computers were great, and technology was improving, but
nobody every realized until you played this simulator, this game,
this TNM thingy! By the next day, I had over one-hundred cards,
fifty wrestlers signed, and was having a blast.

TNM, is a program, where you are Vincent K. McMahon, you are
the booking team, you are the promotion squad, you are the fed-
eration. You own the WWF, or the WCW, or the ECW, or the NWA,
whichever you prefer. You make the cards, you decides who wins
and how, you decide if you want a battle royal, a cage match,
a WarGames match, a Brawl For All match, a Casket match, or
even if you want to hold an interview, you DECIDE IT! Austin vs
Hogan? No problem....in fact, I have Austin over Hogan VIA
Stone Cold Stunner in 2:43, to tell you the truth.

So without further ado, here are my ratings, posotives, and
negatives on TNM 7.0

NEW INFO ON WWF ATTITUDE STRAIGHT FROM ACCLAIM!!!!!!

*Credit to the Bagpipe Report, www.Bagpipe-Report.com

This is Good 'Ole JR. (Jeff Robinson. No disrespect Jim Ross,
I'm a huge fan) and I am the designer on the up and coming WWF
wrestling game entitled Attitude.

A lot of information has been given out on major web sites
concerning the game, but people always seem to want the nitty gritty
details. I have been receiving TBR for a while, and wanted to thank
Blake and the staff by submitting some down and dirty details about
what to expect with the upcoming game. This is exclusive information
for TBR, and all video game fans can thank TBR for bringing you this
information.

<> DISCLAIMER:

Please note that the game is not finished. This information is
only correct on the day I sent this letter. Some of the information
could possibly change before the game hits. The video game industry
can only offer you one promise, and that is, things are always
changing.

<> WRESTLERS:

There are 47 total wrestlers in the game. 30 starting WWF
superstars, 11 hidden WWF superstars, 5 fictional made up jobbers,
and I will return again as the King of Jobbers, or otherwise known
as The Trainer. (I've bumped with Dr. Tom Pritchard, I think I'm
qualified) =) (Dutch will love you for that - ed)

<> Here is a complete list of the wrestlers.

1- Al Snow
2- Big Boss man
3- Billy Gunn
4- Bradshaw
5- Christian
6- D-Lo
7- Dr. Death
8- Droz
9- Edge
10- Faarooq
11- Gangrel
12- Goldust
13- Jeff Jarrett
14- Kane
15- Ken Shamrock
16- Kurgan
17- Mankind
18- Mark Henry
19- Mosh
20- Owen Hart
21- Road Dogg
22- Steve Austin
23- Steve Blackman
24- Taka Michinoku
25- The Rock
26- Thrasher
27- Triple H
28- Undertaker
29- Val Venis
30- X-Pac

<> Hidden Wrestlers:

1- Chyna
2- Commissioner Slaughter
3- Godfather
4- Jacqueline
5- Jerry Lawler
6- Marc Mero
7- Sable
8- Shawn Michaels
9- Brian Christopher
10- Paul Bearer
11- Head

<> Jobbers:

1- Mr. Showtime
2- Stickboy
3- Killer
4- Whimpy
5- Biohazard

<> King of jobbers:

jeLLo the trainer

<> Roster Tidbit:

Steven Regal and Tiger Ali Singh did make the original
roster, but were cut and replaced with Christian, Godfather,
and Bossman. The original roster had 105 wrestlers with 64
jobbers!

Your first thought might be, jeLLo, Revenge has over 60 wrestlers.
Let the truth be known, that we dump a whole lot more effort into
out characters than the competition. Adding a wrestler in other
games consists of some new textures and about 6 new motions. We
fly the talent out for photo shoots and face scans. We record
them saying introductions, taunts, brags, effort grunts, and pain
reactions. We include their actual theme music as well as their
entrances with pyro and the whole ball of wax. You have to ask
yourself, do I want quantity or quality? Be truthful, how many of
those 96 wrestlers on Thunder did you actually play with?

<> GAME MODES:

I want to have everyone understand something here before I give
you a number. If I have a War match (4 player free for all) the
wrestling line up would follow something along these lines:

1 player: 1P versus cpu versus cpu versus cpu
2 player: 1P versus 2P versus cpu versus cpu
3 player: 1P versus 2P versus 3P versus cpu
4 player: 1P versus 2P versus 3P versus 4P

This is considered to be only 1 mode, not 4. I will not list
each and every individual mode, because I need to respect the
space allowed to me by TBR.

Total game modes: 35
Total match options: 11

Adjustable modes: 25
Match modifiers: 5
Win modifiers: 6

I hope you're following, what I'm trying to get at, because I'm
gonna drop a mode bomb right here!

<> CREATE/EDIT YOUR OWN MATCH:

Once you have selected the type of match you have, you may mix and
match with all compatible modifiers to select any type of game mode
you want to play. You can start out with something simple like an
iron man, last man standing, or perhaps a first blood match. Once
you get the hang of it, adventure into a few more options with
Triple threat cage match, hardcore tag team match, or a 2/3 falls
lumberjack match.

If you really want to go crazy, you can have a 4 player war,
first blood, hardcore match, a toughman, 3 on 1 handicap, finishers
only match, or perhaps you want a Tornado Gauntlet, Falls count
anywhere, "I Quit" match! The truth is there are over 450 combin-
ations to keep you interested and satisfied. I have to admit that
my friends making WCW Mayhem (They are former co-workers,and really
are my friends) are going to have to change their quote of having
more game modes that any other wrestling game out there. Looks like
they have their work cut out for them. 450+ game modes is nothing
to shake a stick at!

<> CAREER MODE:

This is a mode I'm especially proud of with 5 different variations
for you to choose from. You can play the grueling 1 player mode
taking you through the European, Intercontinental, and Heavyweight
divisions, or grab a bud and tear through the tag team division.
For a true bundle of joy, try the Mario party type format with 4
players racing through the ranks (and each other) to snag the multi-
player belt. The multi-player career modes are much shorter than the
1 player mode, to ensure you can see who's the best in a one night
sitting. More details on career mode below.

<> 1 PLAYER CAREER MODE DETAILS:

Career mode starts on April 1st (This is a simulated year, not an
actual one), with you being the new jobber on the block. You start
ranked very low in the European division, and have to battle it out
with other jobbers in dark matches just to prove your worth. After
ripping through the jobbers like paper, your are awarded some TV
time with an appearance on Shotgun. Don't expect much of a crowd
reaction. They have no idea who you are. If you do well, you can
continue wrestling on Shotgun, but still have to pay your dues
wrestling house shows. But be warned that if you do poorly on your
Shotgun appearance, you can kiss your TV time goodbye.
Back to jobberville for you, my friend.

As your popularity increases (This is going to take you a couple
months), you are able to wrestle on Sunday Night Heat, Monday Night
Raw, and eventually have a match on a Pay Per View.Being the super-
star that you are, you will no longer grace house shows and shot-
guns. Vince McMahon (He is not in the game) will want to showcase
you only on Raw every week. As you progress though the European and
IC divisions, you will have to defend your belt and prove you're not
a paper champion. Hey, doesn't the former champ deserve a rematch?

You will pass through the various Pay Per Views including in
order: In Your House, King of the Ring, Summerslam, Survivor Series,
and the Royal Rumble. If you win the Royal Rumble, you are the #1
contender for the belt at WrestleMania. Can you keep your spot until
March? The final goal is to reach Wrestlemania and capture the WWF
Heavyweight Championship Belt. The minimum amount of matches to
complete this goal is 60 spanning over 7 months. Keep in mind you
only have 100 matches to complete your dream,or Vince doesn't renew
your contract! 60 straight matches sounds a bit boring huh? I threw
in run-ins, specialty matches, grudges, and feuds to keep it inter-
esting. The champ REALLY doesn't like the thought of you being the
number 1 contender and boy does he show it!
Do you have the potential to become the WWF Champion?

<> CREATE YOUR OWN PAY PER VIEW:

You are the booker with an 8 card match to work with. We don't
hold you back here, and you're more than welcome to have a Royal
Rumble, King of the Ring, and Survivor Series all on the same card.
Recreate any past event or future event and re write History. Want
Andre to win the belt at WrestleMania 3? Make it happen! In case
you don't want to know the outcome, just sit back and watch the cpu
take on itself in simulation mode. You have the option to defend
any belts you have earned, and even name the pay per view.Once you
have selected Bagpipe Bash '99, feel free to throw in your own
created ring. You want green ropes, red turnbuckles, and purple
lights? Go wild, it's your show!

Attitude has been designed with the Dex Drive in mind. You will be
able to upload and download PPV's over the net. Once you download
the PPV,all the information is included. You will get the PPV type,
name, ring type, matches, the custom wrestlers in the match, even
the individual moves selected by the PPV creator. If you don't like
it, feel free to make any changes.

<> CUSTOMIZABLE MOVES SETS:

Acclaim was the first company to bring out Create a wrestler in
America, and we'll be the first to bring out Pick your own moves as
well. We are handling moves differently than other games. We are
grouping moves with button combinations and damage rather than sit-
uation. You truly can now build a grappler or submission type wres-
tler, or perhaps an arial specialist. Although the moves are being
simplified to a degree, we allow players to put any move anywhere
they want. You can now see the People's Elbow, Sweet chin music,or
the Stone Cold Stunner at the press of a single button. We are all-
owing the player to take any move and make it a finisher. You can
even name it. Beware of the dreaded "Yankees go home!" (Kick to
groin)

<> ACCLAIM LOSING THE LICENSE:

Acclaim has enjoyed working with the WWF over the past 10 years,
and we are sad to see the license go. What does this mean? Acclaim
CANNOT ship a single copy of the game to stores after November 15th.
This allows less than a 6 month selling window.

What does this mean?

If you don't pick up WWF Attitude, it will be gone FOREVER.

I highly suggest that you "Get it"

Thanks again, TBR

The People's Designer,

jeLLo
