>> EDITOR NOTES REGARDING THE TNM BASEMENT AND SOME OTHER STUFF

Hello and welcome people to the 150th edition of one of the best, or
probably THE best unofficial source of TNM news, the TNM Basement
Newsletter. Well we've reached 150 editions as you can probably see.
Well as I said before I didnt think we would get to ten but we've
managed to overcome my "newby-ness" to the TNM scene at the time
and we now have flourished. The TNM Basement was formed in
November 19th 1998, and since then numerous family tragedies and
other unexpected occurances have happened but one thing always
stays the same, TNM and the TNM Basement. As I've probably said
this is good therapy for me as it keeps my mind off of things that
I dont really want to think about and this helps me get my creative
side out!!. I hope you have enjoyed the TNM Basement since it's
birth, I have been doing this for 130 editions and I feel I
could do another 130. Ryan Solberg did twenty editions and I
would rather not like to talk about that as its kind of a
painful subject. OK the story is I left the whole TNM scene
behind in June 1999 and didnt use or access the Internet until
September 1999 and when I accesed the site I was honestly
shocked at what I had seen, my wee baby was different. It was
something I didnt want to see, I wanted it to stay the way it
was but that was sort of a "creative" decision but I came back
on board in May and I haven't looked back and changed the site
about. Well thats me finished talking now you can go and enjoy
the festivities with the TNM Basement Interviews!!

>> TNM BASEMENT INTERVIEW WITH DAN (SEPTEMBER 2000)

In this interview:
Liger stands for Dan
bAz stands for guess who :-)

bAz: First of all we'll talk about wrestling...How did you actually
first find out about professional wrestling, and who were your
favourite wrestlers?

Liger: I was flipping through the channels and I came across WWF
Superstars, and saw The Rockers. They got me hooked. Then I just
kept watching because I knew Hogan, since he was pretty main-streem.
My favorites were Hogan, Warrior, Bret Hart, The Rockers, and Legion
of Doom.

bAz: What in your opinion is the best federation in the world?

Liger: Right now I'd say the WWF is the best, but there are still
plenty of things they could change to make it better.

bAz: Now onto TNM matters...How did you first find out about TNM?

Liger: I was searching for codes for some wrestling game, and TNM came
up. I tried it out, and I liked it.

bAz: What version did you download?

Liger: 6.2

bAz: What version did you first register?

Liger: 6.2+

bAz: What made TNM different from any wrestling simulators that
you'd seen?

Liger: I hadn't seen any others, and I don't really feel like taking
the time to download them, TNM works great, and I'm not up for change.

bAz: What do you think of the recently released Circuit Tweaker?

Liger: It was good, but not worth buying.

bAz: What do you think of the Commentary Editor plugin?

Liger: Great idea, and hopefully people will make some good commentary.
My attention span is too short to make them myself.

bAz: What do you think of Zeus?

Liger: Never used it.

bAz: What do you think of the FCA Cubed series of plugins?

Liger: Good, but I get too many errors and stuff, so I never really
use it.

bAz: What do you think of the Interview Integrator?

Liger: It's simple, useful, and it actually works, so I like it.

bAz: What do you think is the best TNM7 plugin?

Liger: The circuit editor thing is good if you f*** something up like
I always do.

bAz: What would you like to see as the next TNM7 match plugin?

Liger: Lumberjack Match

bAz: Finally we come to the TNM Sites section..What TNM sites do
you frequent most often?

Liger: The official one. I don't really go to others unless I'm
looking for an export or something.

bAz: What do you think of the sites that post exports of wrestlers who
haven't even wrestled? e.g. Midian, "Titan" a.k.a Paul Wight

Liger: Doesn't make any difference to me. I just don't DL them.

bAz: What do you think of the TNM Basement site and newsletter?

Liger: The site is ok, and the newsletter is something I can read
when I'm bored.

bAz: And the last question for today...What do you hope to see in the
future for TNM and you?

Liger: Future of TNM: Financial Plugin. Future of Me: Hopefully I'll
find people who wanna join a puroresu alliance. If anyone is
interested, all feds are open except AJPW/Noah. E-mail me at
MrLiger@punkportal.com.

>> TNM BASEMENT INTERVIEW WITH BRIAN SANDERS (SEPTEMBER 2000)

In this interview:
Brian stands for Brian
bAz stands for guess who :-)

bAz: First of all we'll talk about wrestling...How did you actually
first find out about professional wrestling, and who were your
favourite wrestlers?

Brian: Well, my mom always liked wrestling. :) I would occassionaly
watch it on TV and watch tapes of old Wrestlemanias and stuff, and my
fave wrestlers were the Steiners, Luger, Savage, DiBiase, Hogan,
Warrior, and the Bushwackers. I didn't actually FOLLOW wrestling until
November '95. The first full Raw I ever watched featured the main
event of Razor Ramon vs. Yokozuna for the IC Title, and the Undertaker
came out and chased away Yoko, retaining the belt for Razor. At that
time my fave wrestlers were Taker, Bret, HBK, Razor, Ahmed, and the
Kid. The first PPV I saw was Survivor Series '95.

bAz: What in your opinion is the best federation in the world?

Brian: WCW, by far. I can't stand the WWF or ECW. WWF hardly seems to
care about the wrestling anymore. I mean, what's the point of having
Non-Title matches where the WWF Champ gets pinned (on Smackdown), and
then, he retains the Title at Summerslam in a three way dance. They
seem to have no care about the wrestling. ECW I've never seen, but
it's not my kind of wrestling style. I love WCW. It has good,
(usually) clean, entertaining angles and great matches. And best of
all, it has the most entertaining wrestler in the business today,
Kevin Nash, and the best technical wrestler, Bret Hart.

bAz: Now onto TNM matters...How did you first find out about TNM?

Brian: Well, let's see. I liked SimLeagues on AOL (sports leagued
simmed with Madden, NBA Live, etc.). Then I saw something for a TNM
Simfed. So, I joined, getting Bossman, Goldust, and Davey Boy Smith.
I immediately elevated them to main event status against the Wolfpac.
We were Shattered Dreams, also with wrestlers like Konnan, Juvi, Evil
Undertaker, HBK, and eventually even Bret Hart (we were gonna return
after about a month away from the ring to get him the World Title at
the PPV, however, the fed closed.). Ah, the joy of being a superface
with losers :). Of course, I eventually traded in Bulldog for Lyger.
At first I tried to download TNM, but didn't have Winzip. I didn't
know what it was. :) Eventually I got Winzip and downloaded TNM, ran
a simfed, and eventually got into the circuit business. :) Now I do a
TNM Alliance with the person who got me into TNM, though he never
updates.

bAz: What version did you download?

Brian: TNM 7 Build 4.

bAz: What version did you first register?

Brian: TNM 7 Build 4.

bAz: What made TNM different from any wrestling simulators that
you'd seen?

Brian: Well, mainly, it was actually worth a crap. The only other one
I had actually played was Zeus, but I hated it. Eventually I found
ESWF, EW, and some other half-way decent ones, but TNM and EW are the
only ones that continue to keep bringing me to the computer. However,
I am patiently awaiting the arrivals of FOF and Compufed.

bAz: What do you think of the recently released Circuit Tweaker?

Brian: It was decent, not worth the money, considering you can do
everything with Notepad that you can do with it, and more. See the
Plugin Programmer's Reference. :)

bAz: What do you think of the Commentary Editor plugin?

Brian: I don't care for it. It's not my kind of plugin, not what I
was looking for. I was happy with the matches the way they were, I
just want a working 3/4 Way WWF Dance! Dang it!

bAz: What do you think of Zeus?

Brian: Frankly, it sucks. However, I respect them for making it, as
it took lotsa hard work. I don't enjoy it though, as TNM is much
better. :)

bAz: What do you think of the FCA Cubed series of plugins?

Brian: Wow. I only got 2.2, as I only found TNM a year and a half
ago, and it took a while to find the plugins, but, I love it. I like
FCA Cubed matches in websites a LOT more than wrestler exports,
considering I hate most wrestlers' gimmicks/moves that have changed
recently (Booker T, Undertaker, etc.) and I hate importing wrestlers
and then having to edit their workrates AGAIN.

bAz: What do you think of the Interview Integrator?

Brian: Well, I hoped it would be in Notepad, but was disappointed
when it came out. I bought it, I admit, before I found other plugins.
Now, in my circuit, I just summarize the interviews on the web page,
rather than doing it with TNM.

bAz: What do you think is the best TNM7 plugin?

Brian: Fed Tracker, if they hadn't charged for it. Stupid SW. PLus I
could never figure out how to install their last version. So, I guess
FCA Cubed. BTW do you know what FCA stands for? I think Falls Count
Anywhere would be logical, but I have no idea. (bAz says "Is FCA Cubed
not some sort of mathematical formula??")

bAz: What would you like to see as the next TNM7 match plugin?

Brian: A working triple threat or fatal fourway match like is in the
WWF.

bAz: Finally we come to the TNM Sites section..What TNM sites do you
frequent most often?

Brian: Wrestleden, Basement, and Warehouse.

bAz: What do you think of the sites that post exports of wrestlers who
haven't even wrestled? e.g. Midian, "Titan" a.k.a Paul Wight

Brian: I frankly have no idea what you're talking about.
(bAz says "Yeah I'll take it out!")

bAz: What do you think of the TNM Basement site and newsletter?

Brian: Love it. :) Still like Warehouse more though, for FCA Cubed
matches make the world go round.

bAz: And the last question for today...What do you hope to
see in the future for TNM and you?

Brian: I'm getting sick of typing. I've basically answered this
question with the rest of the interview. Don't forget to go to
http://icwrasslin.8m.com/ and check out my circuit! And don't judge
it by page one of cards, they sucked, I got good in page 2. :)

>> TNM BASEMENT INTERVIEW WITH SEAN (SEPTEMBER 2000)

In this interview:
Sean stands for Sean
bAz stands for guess who :-)

bAz: First of all we'll talk about wrestling...How did you actually
first find out about professional wrestling, and who were your
favorite wrestlers?

Sean: I watched it since I can remember, my dad used to watch
Saturday Nights Main events with me as a kid, then my aunt and Uncle
would take me to Richfield Coliseum to see the WWF come into town.
ALWAYS watched WWF, didn't see WCW till I first got cable and that
was during the Vader/Flair feud. Believe it or not I didn't know who
Flair was till he went to the WWF. Sad but true. Now I have plenty of
tapes and know who he is.

bAz: What in your opinion is the best federation in the world?

Sean: Well business wise it's the WWF. ECW 96 was my favorite year
of wrestling ever! in the last 2 years I became a huge fan of AJPW,
but it looks to be in bad shape now. I'd stick with WWF.

bAz: Now onto TNM matters...How did you first find out about TNM?

Sean: Back in 1996 Prodigy used to have a file libraries to download
and TNM was just HUGE! EVERYONE was getting version 6.2 I believe. I
tried it a couple times and believe it or not I hated it. I thought it
was just WAY to detailed compared to WLS which was another DOS
simulator out at the time. WLS always crashed on me so I just stuck
it out with TNM and I fell in love with it and registered version 7.0
and have all the plugins!

bAz: What version did you download?

Sean: 6.2

bAz: What version did you first register?

Sean: 7

bAz: What made TNM different from any wrestling simulators that you'd
seen?

Sean: It didn't crash a lot! I enjoyed the fantasy of it. I liked to
run ECW promotions but now I'm stuck with my USWA fed that I have been
running since JULY 9TH 1999! Thats a LONG time to keep a fed going on
TNM.

bAz: What do you think of the recently released Circuit Tweaker?

Sean: I love the tweaker. I use the Heat option a lot. I also use it
to make longer injuries if I want them.

bAz: What do you think of the Commentary Editor plugin?

Sean: Once it works and you can import commentary I'll let you know.

bAz: What do you think of Zeus?

Sean: I downloaded the 1st version and thought it kinda sucked.

bAz: What do you think of the FCA Cubed series of plugins?

Sean: I enjoy them when other people make the plugin. I suck at them
but use Scaffold, Tables and Ladders and Parking Lot matches all the
time.

bAz: What do you think of the Interview Integrator?

Sean: I use it often. No longer write out interviews but do
summaries.

bAz: What do you think is the best TNM7 plugin?

Sean: Tweaker probably.

bAz: What would you like to see as the next TNM7 match plugin?

Sean: I'd like to see the Tag Team Royal Rumble. I'm pretty lenient I
feel I have got my moneys worth as it is. The game will never go old
cause you can always make new wrestlers.

bAz: Finally we come to the TNM Sites section..What TNM sites do you
frequent most often?

Sean: TNM7.com usually check the message boards.

bAz: What do you think of the sites that post exports of wrestlers who
haven't even wrestled? e.g. Midian, "Titan" a.k.a Paul Wight

Sean: I don't use them, but whatever
(bAz says "Probably should take out that question!!")

bAz: What do you think of the TNM Basement site and newsletter?

Sean: I wish the Newsletter would be a little bit longer, maybe add
some real articles, but I do enjoy it.

bAz: And the last question for today...What do you hope to see in the
future for TNM and you?

Sean: TNM will be around forever, and I think I'll always play it :-}

>> TNM BASEMENT INTERVIEW WITH BRADLEY KERR (SEPTEMBER 2000)

In this interview:
Brad stands for Brad
bAz stands for guess who :-)

bAz: First of all we'll talk about wrestling...How did you actually
first find out about professional wrestling, and who were your
favourite wrestlers?

Brad: I first found out about professional wrestling through my
parents and a family friend who was a journeyman wrestler who worked
all over North America before he retired. I was raised around it
really. My favorite wrestlers as a child were Randy Savage, Ricky
Steamboat and Hulk Hogan.

bAz: What in your opinion is the best federation in the world?

Brad: WWF, hands down, no contest.

bAz: Now onto TNM matters...How did you first find out about TNM?

Brad: Just surfing around one day and stumbled on it.

bAz: What version did you download?

Brad: 6.2

bAz: What made TNM different from any wrestling simulators that
you'd seen?

Brad: It was the first I'd ever seen.

bAz: What do you think of the recently released
Circuit Tweaker?

Brad: Okay I guess.

bAz: What do you think of the Commentary Editor plugin?

Brad: Never used it.

bAz: What do you think of Zeus?

Brad: Okay I guess. If you actually have the time to use it.

bAz: What do you think of the FCA Cubed series of plugins?

Brad: See above answer.

bAz: What do you think of the Interview Integrator?

Brad: See above answer.

bAz: What do you think is the best TNM7 plugin?

Brad: Honestly don't know.

bAz: What would you like to see as the next TNM7 match
plugin?

Brad: Hell in a Cell. (bAz says "Already available!!")

bAz: Finally we come to the TNM Sites section..What TNM sites do
you frequent most often?

Brad: TNM7.com I guess, that's about it, and then that's not really
that regular.

bAz: What do you think of the sites that post exports
of wrestlers who haven't even wrestled? e.g. Midian, "Titan" a.k.a
Paul Wight

Brad: I dunno, kinda sucks I guess?

bAz: What do you think of the TNM Basement site and newsletter?

Brad: It's spectacular. The best of it's kind. :)

bAz: And the last question for today...What do you hope to see in the
future for TNM and you?

Brad: The ability to book a card on the fly.
