Paper Mairo

Producer: Nintendo

Best Feature: It’s Mario RPG 2!!!

Worst Feature: Translating is just downright horrible

Supports: Rumble Pack – 4 players

I was really looking forward to this game when I found out it was the sequel to Mario RPG. Well Let’s get right into the game. The first thing you will notice is the graphics are um… Original. They are colorful and full of Animation even though it looks like paper (I think Nintendo planned it to look like this.) Other then that this game downright kicks some serious ass! It has a basic RPG system with the tap A strategy from Mario RPG. The story is pretty much the same as usual Princess gets kidnapped you have to rescue princess. Thankfully the story has a few twists in it to make it not seem so plain. It also has tons of weapons and attacks: everything from a hammer, to fireballs, even Mario’s jumps are weapons and/or attacks. It also has combos which is all right even though I didn’t find them that use full at the beginning of the game. Oh and by the by (no I didn’t make a typo I used a term from the game) this game has horrible translating. The translating is almost what you’d expect from a Iraqi Tour Guide (no offense but that is bad.) Oh yeah and one other thing the soundtrack is super annoying but you’ll find yourself singing the songs after you’re done playing; damn Nintendo!!! Other then a few gripes I found this game very enjoyable and a must own for any RPG fan. Even if you’re not a RPG fan give it a rent this one is one of the reasons N64 is still a decent system. Next time your walking through Toys R Us with 60 bucks thinking bout what game you should buy for your N64 give this one some thought.
