Matteo Snubs England for the Auld Enemy
Dominic Matteo has agreed to take his place in the Scotland defense for the World Cup qualifiers. Matteo, an ex U21, Youths and B player for England, is eligible to play for Scotland as he is born in Dumfries. New team mate Gary McAllister played a key role in getting Craig Brown to notice Matteo and then Brown had secret talks with Matteo but all was revealed in the past week. Craig Brown has said that Dominic Matteo is delighted to join the Scottish ranks and he will play in the first World Cup Qualifier against Latvia. Gary Naysmith(Hearts), Stephen Glass(Newcastle) & Callum Davidson(Blackburn) will all be dissapointed that they will not be first choice.
