WR Rankings!!
1)Marvin Harrison, IND. Should have another great year with the maturation and coming together of the team. A solid #2 guy could help.
2)Jimmy Smith, JAX. Jimmy is the real deal, and he's gonna prove it by having another great year. A healthy Fred Taylor could really boost Jimmys numbers.
3)Marcus Robinson, CHI. He had a breakout year last season, and should just get better. He keeps a QB who should only get better, has a good second WR to keep defenses honest and a RB sho should perform this year.
4)Isaac Bruce, STL. An increase is possible but not likely since Holt is only gonna get better and Faulk gets a lot of receptions himself. Still, when Warner is you QB and you have a supporting cast like his, anything could happen.
5)Antonio Freeman, GB. With the emergence of Shroeder and a healthy Levens and Favre, Antonio could have another fantastic year. Besides, with on of the best QB's in the game just about anyone could have a great year!
6)Eric Moulds, BUF. Two years ago he lookad like one of the premeire receivers in the game, however last year injuries slowed him down. Still, he got over 1100 yards while missing two games. If he stays healthy look out again this year.
7)Germane Crowell, DET. He's a guy that you might not want to draft this high since most other people wont. His production is gonna be great if batch is at the helm. Moore is aging and Crowell will fill in very well as he did last year.
8)Michael Westbrook, WSH. He finally had the year last season that I thought he'd have two years ago. Washinton will make a superbowl run and Westbrook must be a key part of it.
9)Randy Moss, MIN. Moss is a fantasic talent yet when you have a 2nd year QB you can be as good as you want, and if he's not great then neither are you.
10)Tim Brown, OAK. I dont really think Brown deserves a spot this high although he is very good. The reason he's up here is the dropoff I predict below.
11)Keyshawn Johnson, TB. Make no mistake this is a running team. However for the run to work you need to pass the ball. Too bad for Jaquez Green they have a better receiver in Johnson now, who is gonna hog all the passes.
12)Joey Galloway, DAL. A couple things bother me here. Dallas likes to run, and both starting receivers are deep men. If they can get either one of these players to go over the middle both will benefit greatly. Dallas has also said they want to pass more, but hey don't most teams that have a poor passing game say that?
13)Muhsin Muhammad, CAR. Last year was a breakout for this guy, showing that he has real talent. Will he prove this year that he's the real deal? If it weren't the unpredictable Beuerlein at the helm he'd be higher, plus they face a very hard schedule.
14)Cris Carter, MIN. As with Moss, the QB must be good for the WR to be good. Word is Culpepper isn't quite ready to lead this team to glory.
15)Amani Toomer, NYG. I quiver when I think of the talent here that can't possibly be fully tapped with Kerry Collins throwing the ball. Dayne should take the pressure off both of these players.
16)Albert Connell, WAS. The talent is there, the QB is there but the name Albert Connell isn't. Most people won't draft him very high since no one really knows his name all that well.
17)Kevin Johnson, CLE. What can I say here, the QB will only improve, the running game got better with Rhett, and the O-line can't possibly be any worse than it was last year!
18)Johnnie Morton, DET. Once again, I hate to say it but, if Charlie Batch can stay healthy Morton will make a solid contribution as the NUMBER 2 guy on this team behid Crowell.
19)Derrick Mayes, SEA. If seattle can find a fast receiver to stretch defenses, Mayes will catch short-intermediate balls all day long. He will even break a few long. His great hands allow a QB to be less than perfect, something Kitna is at this point. with the release of Dawkins though, Seattle needs to have some help here.
20)Torry Holt, STL.
21)Frank Sanders, AZ.
22)Ed McCaffrey, DEN.
23)Raghib Ismail, DAL.
24)Darnay Scott, CIN.
25)Terell Owens, SF.
26)Rod Smith, DEN.
27)Rob Moore, AZ.
28)Yancey Thigpen, TEN.
29)Tony Martin, MIA.
30)Sean Dawkins, SEA
33)Peerless Price, BUF.
32)Bobby Engram, CHI.
33Derrick Alexander, KC.
34)Joe Horn, NO.
35)Peter Warrick, CIN
36)Terrance Mathis, ATL.
37)Bill Shroeder, GB.
38)Ike Hilliard, NYG,
39)Kevin Dyson, TEN.
