Physically and mentally tough, Carter registered a career-high 24 goals during the 1998-99 season, good for third-best on the Boston Bruins. He also had six game-winning goals. His 19.5 shooting percentage in 1998-99 was the fourth best in the League. Carter drives hard to the net in the classical power forward style to derive most of his scoring chances. He was a finalist for 1995 Hobey baker award as a member of the Michigan State Spartans.
