Project Overview |
The more difficult part of the Project for sure. Using a select group, we値l shift through all the data that has been collected and organize it. Though the exact structure is still under development, it will probably be something like this: People: This category will list off all the people in the Freespace, what they did, and why (if the information is provided). We値l also try to get as much information on their lives as possible, but it seems unlikely we値l get much. Also covered here will be the squadrons of FS2 and Operation Templar, and their histories. Finally, we値l also cover all four species of the Freespace universe. Places: What is in each star system of the Freespace universe, including stations and ship yards. This will also cover where major events occur in relation to these systems. Oh, and don稚 forget about the jump nodes. This will probably be the easiest part. Ships: Taken almost straight from the data, we値l list off all the warships ever mentioned in Freespace. From the Colossus to the Orff, we値l have them all, including their class (very important) and fleet assignments. We値l also give accurate facts about each ship class and maybe clear up a bit of confusion (How many fighters are on an Orion anyway?). Structures: This will deal mostly with Command structure from squadron level all the way up to the GTVA itself. We値l also have the definitive list of ranks and points to them for both games as well as all medals. Timeline: A flat out timeline of events in Freespace, from the discovery of subspace to the destruction of Capella. Myths: Basically, this is where everything that is wrong in the Freespace universe is straightened out. This will come as a result of final judgements. Because of what must be done, this group will make unofficial rulings on many of the Community痴 greatest debates. Since the entire Community will be able to state their opinions, I expect a rather nasty battle to start over some of them. We値l be as fair as humanly possible judging on the evidence instead of our opinions. It should prove very, very interesting. Part Two, like Part One,
will likely never be complete complete. We will strive to create
a workable Encyclopedia, but like any real world encyclopedia, it will
probably go through several revisions as more data comes in.
