Basic Female Classes

When female characters start out, they always have lower HP than males, but they have more MP. And they generally have 1 less point in physical attack power, but they also have 1 more point in magic power. Because stat growth is percentage-based, this eventually becomes a bigger and bigger gap as a character levels up.

But the stat growth is still very much the same. I show the growth ratings for both so a player can easily see how a character of either gender would level up more accurately. However, the two genders don't level up differently. The fact that they are percentage-based just makes it look that way.

For the Level Up/Down trick, choosing what to do is harder than with the male classes. A good idea is to level up to 99 as a Summoner, down as a Dancer, then back up as a Ninja. Go down as a Dancer, up as a Mime, down as a Dancer. This has proven to be the only way to get MP and raise all the other stats. So far there has been no other method discovered that will actually gain MP. So try it unless you think you're too good to try my advice (jerk!).

Some might choose a Calculator, because it seems like it has bad speed growth, and you will gain better AT, but there is barely any speed disadvantage (for growth, at least), if any at all. And you'll probably want to be going with a Dancer because MP are gained slowly - especially because of the Mime. Use a Calculator and you'll end up with 1 MP.

Also, when you look at the statistics, don't confuse stat growth with class stats. Stat growth is how a character will gain statistics in HP, MP, SP, PA, and MA.Class stats the bonuses and disadvantages a class has in those stats compared to another class at the same level. The two have almost nothing to do with each other - just because a Calculator has really low speed, doesn't mean when it levels up it will get poor speed growth.

One of the biggest things is that Mimes are the only classes with a discernable advantage in MA. So if you choose not to try my method, you should still use a Mime - and you need to find a way around the MP loss.

Another important factor is that Thieves and Ninjas are the only classes with a higher speed growth than the other classes. So you are going to have to use one o those two classes to max out speed. I prefer Ninjas because they get better other stats, too.

If you only plan to put 5 characters up to maximum capabilities, females are probably better because you can give them things like Chantage (which isn't too necessary when you are god-like in power, but some people always want the advantage...)
