Think Like a Grandmaster Chess Challenge

The Middlesex Chess Network will be holding the first "Think like a Grandmaster Chess Challenge on August 18, 2001 at 10 am at Glenmuir High School in May Pen, Clarendon.

Contestants will be vying to get their names on one of the 8 remaining slots on the Middlesex Outstanding Achiever Trophy. Glenmuirs Stanley Thompson occupies the first slot, after winning the Clarendon Chess Ladder in July 2001.

The Challenge will involve each participant attempting to solve 10 complex positions, with points awarded for the closest to the answer.
