Van Roeyen Castle

As you step through the doorway into the castle courtyard, the entire feel of things changes...all about you is nothing but piles of charred rock and wood. The walls that looked grand from the outside now appear as nothing but broken husks, barely any left standing. Upon closer inspection, it does appear as if someone has been frequenting the place...by the tools you find laying here and there, you can deduce that someone is probably trying to fix the place up. A little ways into the interior of one of the broken buildings you can see a light...a candle burning?
Your curiosity gets the better of you, and you make your way carefully through the rubble. Soon you find yourself standing in what looks to be a makeshift living area...a simple bed, desk, chest of drawers, and a worktable full of tools adorn the room. But this is not what catches your attention...along one wall stands a large mirror, easily taller than most men, and far wider. It's not so much the mirror as the scene which can be seen within it after a few seconds of studying:

As you step closer to get a better look, poweful magics can be felt radiating from it...as you look into the mirror, you almost feel as if you could step through it, but something blocks your way...for some reason you feel greatly saddened by that fact. After a while, you decide to leave the room...only to feel yourself whisked away once more as you step through the doorway.....
