My Dark Age Strategy
I am an intermediate player and still learning but form what I have learned this strategy is very affective. My strategy for the Dark Age with high-medium resources is this. As soon as you start out build like 4-5 houses that way you are set for a while. Next, make 10-15 villagers at your town center. Then with your scout/ eagle warrior explore to find sheep quickly. When you find them send them close to your town center and use your idle (2 or more) villagers to herd and kill them for food. Next build a mill next to you berries to forage. Then put 3-5 villagers on them. When you have free villagers build a lumber camp next to the wood/forest you have found. You'll need a bunch of villagers on wood early. (if you are playing with water build a dock and about 5-8 fishing ships for lots of food) When all of your villagers have been made advance quickly. While your advancing this is the time to build a barracks and explore with your scout/eagle warrior.
