King Leoric is the doomed King, who dwells in lev. 3 of the church. He can have really much minions around him, what can make it quite hairy. In Single player he can be found in his own tomb. In MP, he’ll be somewhere in lev. 3. King Leoric can raise his minions in Single player, something he can’t do in Multi player.
Anyway, in this chapter you can find some tips on how to beat him.
Regardless of which character you play with, and whether you play SP or MP, one of the best things to do, is to retreat to safe territory. Make sure he follows. This way you’ll only face him, and perhaps some minions as well, instead of the whole crowd. Because Leo can raise his fallen minions (in SP), don’t fight every minion that has been raised. Leo will raise them again, and thus no progress. Concentrate on Leo. Kill him first, then his minions.
A firewall comes in handy against Leo as well. Once on safe territory, throw some firewalls in front of you (where Leo will end up standing in fighting you.) It’ll make it all go faster. Because his minions might stand in it as well, they’ll be hurt and killed by it, without you having to fight them. You could also go to a doorway, go through it, and throw some firewalls on the other side. Only one skeleton can enter the doorway, while the rest waits… and burns.
A warrior needs a good one handed blunt weapon and shield (and good dex), and he won’t have much trouble with Leo.
As for the rogue; go melee for a short while, if your dexterity is high enough. A bow with the "of the bear suffix" is another way to easily kill Leo.
(With these stats I killed Leo.)
One of my other rogues was level 10 when she killed him in MP, and didn’t encounter any difficulties at all! Her dexterity was 67 and AC was 45. She did 5-14 damage with her mace, and had a 83% chance to hit. So with a decent dexterity you can kill Leo (if using a shield and blunt weapon.)
The sorcerer simply needs holy bolt, the higher the spell level the better.
Another really great method is one I've got from Cold Flame. It's a very easy and effective one; When you play with a Sorceror (or Rogue) just cast a lot of Charged bolts (as fast as you can.) Doing this will kill the majority of the skeletons, and hurt Leo. When it's just Leo left, switch over to holy bolt, and finish the job.
