One of the co-op Laz runs

Two brave and powerful warriors arrived at Tristram. They had heard evil creatures had gathered underneath the village, and that some betrayer, called Lazarus, had to be taken out. They went to an old sage called Deckard Cain the town elder. He was the one that told the two warriors of Lazarus.

Deckard was delighted to see the two heroes, and quickly told them Lazarus could be found in hell. (Assuming that’s what he meant with “Go to hell.”) He also told that the most powerful denizens of darkness could be found there. And today all those monsters were even more powerful than on other days. Only in nightmares one could encounter such horrific monsters.
The two brave men didn’t hesitate, and immediately went down a rift that directly led to hell. They descended and began discovering the terrain, encountering Doom Guards and Vipers. One of the warriors gained health after each hit, while the other one swung his sword as fast as the blink of an eye. The powerful creatures were cut down where they stood, and the heroes actually had fun whacking them. After a short while they found stairs that led deeper into the labyrinth.

The noble warriors had a strange feeling that there might be other monsters in this level. It turned out to be true; Witches and Vipers! The oldest warrior, Aragorn, immediately threw some firewalls and fried the fierce creatures. Taibo, the other warrior, told Aragorn that he liked his steaks well done. They laughed, and advanced further and further into the dark labyrinth. Every now and then the screams of a doomed soul echoed throughout the dim spooky halls. But the warriors weren’t terrified by these screams, and continued their quest.
After slaying several dozen fierce creatures, they found the stairs down.

The witches were still there, but now there were knights as well. The two cooperated very well, and had no real difficulty with them. After walking around in that level for a while they got thirsty. Aragorn threw a portal that immediately led to town. They first went to Grizwold, a blacksmith. He would repair the equipment of the two, but it would take a short while. That wasn’t a problem, and the two warriors gave him their equipment. At that moment Taibo went to Pepin and Aragorn to Adria, to ask if they wanted to brew some pots with a healing and mana regenerating liquid. This would take a short while as well. The two met again at Ogden’s. They ordered some wine and beer, and some bread to fill their stomachs. At that moment a young but experienced naked mage showed up. The two warriors introduced themselves, and so did the mage. The mage, called Mahondolf, told the two, a man called Deckard Cain had asked him to come. He was the backup plan to wipe out Lazarus. The two warriors said, that they were able to handle the situation down there pretty well, but Mahondolf’s help would be appreciated. He was just the man to take out those annoying witches. Maholdolf said that because he was already there, he might as well help the two out a little. But, first some beer! The three talked for a short while, and after about half an hour, Grizwold waved. “The equipment is repaired my friends!” he said with a Scottish accent. Pepin came out as well, and said the pots were ready. The two warriors paid Ogden with some gold they found in the labyrinth, and told Maholdolf they would throw a town portal. The warriors got their stuff, and the pots, and went back down. Aragorn immediately threw a town portal. The two warriors had already entertained themselves with a golem fight. But now they wanted to know whose golem was stronger; Aragorn’s or Mahondolf’s. They waited a minute or so, and then Mahondolf came down the portal.

“A golem fight? Ah, why not!” he said, and both Aragorn and Mahondolf created a clay golem. The two walked towards each other, and the fight started. It wasn’t clear which golem belonged to whom, but the three thought Mahondolf’s golem had won. Another fight ensued to make sure Mahondolf’s golem was stronger indeed. But this time Aragorn’s golem won. 1-1. Now the final round. Mahondolf’s golem won, and the three were amused. But the time had come again to sweep the evil that had gathered in the third ring of hell. Mahondolf was a very good co-oper, and eliminated many witches. The warriors occasionally took out a witch as well, but concentrated on the knights. Everything went very well, but at a certain moment, Mahondolf teleported over a wall, got surrounded, and got killed. Aragorn had a scroll with instruction on how to bring a fallen friend back. He used it, and bright heavenly light shone down upon the body of the mage. His eyes opened again, and with some mana pots he fixed himself up. The three continued, and found Lazarus’ Lair shortly after.

Aragorn said he would go in on 3…. “1.2…3….” and he ran in. Taibo and Mahondolf quickly followed. Lazarus and some of his followers quickly found out that their opponent’s swords were not supposed to be used for brushing their teeth. The accompanying fireworks should’ve given this away.
Lazarus dropped a ring, and the three were curious what kinda ring it was exactly. The three went back to town, and brought Deckard the good news. He was very delighted and identified the ring for free. (Wow! What a “Deck” of a guy! LOL) It turned out to be a ring of vigor! What a disappointment, but the mission was accomplished.

The two warriors had to leave again, but they both had gifts for some friends of them, both mages. Mahondolf said he would hang around for some time at Ogden’s, and that he would give the presents to their friends. The warriors thanked him, and left Tristram, one went North, the other East.

Several hours later the two mages were both there, and found Mahondolf at Ogden’s. They took the gifts, and thanked Mahondolf. After a short chit-chat, Mahondolf had to leave as well.

The two mages were left, and walked around a little bit. They found a small church, and a wounded townsman in front of it. He asked them if they would kill the butcher for him. Lord Kilgor and Taiche went down to find this demon. Lord Kilgor was way too experienced for this quest, so he stone cursed the butcher, and let Taiche do the real work. Down to level 3. They found King Leoric very soon, Lord Kilgor was a bit too enthusiastic, and his guardians killed Leo before the both of them knew what was going on. Well, nothing left to do, so both Mages left town again, leaving - the once infested by many monsters - Tristram behind.

The end.
