That's
all, folks!:
(May
25, 2002)
The
Electronic Entertainment Expo 2002 (E3) officially ended yesterday, and
while it wasn't quite as big as last years E3, it was still very interesting
to watch. More and more details are coming out about such titles as Super
Mario Sunshine, The Legend of Zelda, and Metroid Prime. Along with changes
in management, game delays, and more. I'm hoping to get some previews done
based on the new E3 information that's come out. I'm also working on a
few reviews right now, so stay tuned.
Animal
Crossing details:
(May
25, 2002)
It
has now been discovered that the upcoming Animal Crossing GameCube title
will be fully translated (text, furniture, holidays) to English. It was
also discovered that a memory card will be included with the title, just
like in Japan. It's being bundled with the game to make it easier to trade
your town with friends. It will most likely be the Memory Card 59 and not
the Memory Card 251, since the 251 is more expensive, and much more space
than will be needed for game saves.
Yamauchi
officially retires!!:
(May
24, 2002)
It
was announced today that Hiroshi Yamauchi, the president of Nintendo for
over 40 years, will retire and be replaced by Satoru Iwata at the end of
the month. Iwata has already made a name for himself at Nintendo, being
a board member and Nintendo's business planning department. The retiring
Hiroshi Yamauchi made Nintendo into the company you know today, and really
deserves his retirement. Good luck to Mr. Yamauchi!

GBA
Cartridge price drop:
(May
24, 2002)
While
Nintendo was unveiling it's top Game Boy titles at a press conference it
privately informed licensees that they would once again be dropping the
production price of the Game Boy Advance game cartridge. The price of the
4k EEPROM cartridge has dropped from $12 to $9 a unit, bringing the cost
for GBA cartridges lower than those for the Game Boy Color. This new price
cut is sure to lead to lower GBA game title prices in the coming year.

They reconfirmed it's use as a motion sensing controller, like in Kirby
tilt and Tumble. But they also announced a new feature which will allow
you to upload edited levels from the Donkey Kong GBA version to the GameCube
