Move 352:  Plotting Against the Ropers

Tunnels--Early, Day 37 (Marpenoth 20)

Some suggestions were made about how to go about venturing into roper territory and living through it. Renn volunteered to go first under the cloak of invisibility and suggested praying for wood to make impromptu body shields since Jana was unable to crack the glassy rock. Echo cast another spell, and Renn disappeared from sight.

"Sounds good to me. How about me and Jana up front with the body shields, Renn ahead and everyone else behind." Blacky added

"I think the plan is for Renn to go first with his danger detector spell going," Jana said. Then me and Blacky and Echo behind, watching our backs.  Is that what we want to do?" she asked.

"I'll go last," Echo agreed. "Azrun should probably be behind you and Blacky. Is that okay, Azrun?"

"How far ahead are you going to be Renn?"

Azrun stood and drew his bow, "Well, we've got a plan. Time to get going, I guess."

"Yes, I guess so," Echo agreed. "I'll let you know if anything comes up from behind."

Azrun scratched his head for a moment, "Do you think this could be that temple, that was marked on the map....Juiblex or something like that? I remember it said many bad things there. I'm probably wrong but it's a possibility."

"My head hurts," Jana grumbled. "Whenever you're ready, Renn."

"I think that's somewhere else," Echo replied. "We're in the part marked ropers and quaggoths now."
