Move 375:  Tunnels or Caves?

Smooth Caverns--Afternoon, Day 37 (Marpenoth 20)

Everyone tried to dry themselves out or off as much as possible while discussing where to sleep. They were taking several factors into consideration, and it required some degree of thought on their parts. Echo cast a spell, and the others anxiously awaited the results.

Echo's spell took a few minutes. "I didn't see Arachne or Aloysius," she said. "I saw Rastifer get a large order together. That's probably ours. He wasn't done, he looked busy with other customers." Abashed, she said, "I don't think this is very helpful. I'm sorry."

"No," Jana disagreed, "your spell was helpful. It told us that they're there and getting ready to return but they aren't coming back just yet. So we know we should hole up in one of those caves."

Azrun nodded, "We probably could stay here tonight and then go to the tunnel toward the end of the day tomorrow. That would allow us to rest up a little bit and heal some more."

Echo looked relieved. "Which cave? The one Renn suggested might be easiest to ward."

"My vote's for the least spooky cave," Jana said. "But let's get movin' regardless," she pleaded. "I'm freezing."

"It's selfish, but I much prefer the chamber with the pillar," Renn said with a short
wave of his hands. "But, the chamber is large enough so where you could camp in the less spooky part," Renn grinned quickly, with a look to Jana, "and I could still ward the main entryway against evil."

Renn moved to Blacky's side and began to speak with him in quiet tones.

Azrun nodded, "Works for me. Let's go."

"Whatever you guys think," Jana says, shivering violently.
