Shangala Weapons

Asaura Received From: Peasant(Shangala), Ninja(Shangala) Worthy Replacement: War Boots or Sea Slippers. Strategy: In terms of Defense Points, an Asaura is the best footwear that can be found in the game. It provides the most Defense points out of all footwear in the game. Compared with the other two major footwear in the game, an Asaura does not provide the Attack points that only a pair of War Boots can offer, but it does enchant more than a pair of War Boots. An Asaura does not provide the Skill points that only a pair of Sea Slippers can offer, which means that an Asaura can't be enchanted nearly as far as a pair of Sea Slippers can. However, an Asaura at the Enchant Strong should still have more Defense points than a pair of Sea Slippers at Enchant Strong, as long as the stats of the two footwear are reasonably common. Additional Information: Most Foul Axes come with Disease. If it does not, then it is a rare Foul Axe. Strategy: As long as Rat Tail Whips exist, you don't need to equip any Foul Axes that you find in Shangala. Foul Axes don't provide the Defense and Skill Points that only a Rat Tail Whip can offer, and a Foul Axe is found much later in the game compared to a Rat Tail Whip. Just sell your Foul Axes at Bill Smith's Weapon Shop and make a few thousand marks off of your findings. Additional Info: The Defense points of a Non-rusted Koutetsu is 6x higher than its Attack points. Strategy: The absolute best body armor that can be found in the game is a Koutetsu. Although it subtracts Skill points, its high Defense points will easily make up for the loss Skill. Koutetsu armor also provides a small amount of Attack points, which makes it preferable over Snake Scale Suits. In order to get your hands on a Koutetsu, you must defeat a Samurai in Shangala and hope that it drops this amazing armor. It usually has higher Attack points than a Gladius or a Spirit Katana, though it has much less skill than a Spirit Katana. You should use a Masamune if you are looking to increase your Attack points instead of Skill points. If you wish to own a Masamune, you must defeat a Samurai in combat, and hope that it drops this powerful weapon. Strategy: The absolute best Two handed Weapon in the game is a Matchlock Rifle. No other Two handed Weapon can be compared to a Matchlock Rifle. With high Attack points, high Skill points, and the Blast ability, a Matchlock Rifle is easily better than any Two handed Weapon in the game. Because of its high Skill points, a Matchlock Rifle can be enchanted much more than most weapons in the game, which to some extent, makes it even better than many Right and Left handed Weapons. Strategy: A Shuriken is the absolute best Left handed Weapon in terms of Attack points. The only other Left handed weapon that comes even close enough to the Attack power of a Shuriken is a Silver Weird Knife. Shurikens provide a moderate amount of Attack points, as well as a high amount of Skill points, which means that a Shuriken can be enchanted more than any other Left handed weapon in the game. With a weapon like this, many of your opponents will fall in a single hit! Have a Bless Scroll ready if you are going to equip one. Strategy: A Spirit Katana is one of the best Right handed weapons in the game, even if it does have the underated attribute of Panic. A Spirit Katana's Attack points is similar to that of a Gladius or a Masamune, but its Skill points are far higher than that of a Gladius or a Masamune, which means that a Spirit Katana can be enchanted more. And of course, this is a great thing, because without a high amount of Skill points, your opponents will be able to escape from you every time this Spirit Katana induces Panic! For best results, use a Spirit Katana in conjunction with other high Skilled equipment, such as Sea Slippers.
