In Stage 1-3, there is a secret door hidden in the blocks in the wall above the Stage entrance. Use the hammer to gain access to the door.
Near the exit door to each level, there is hidden a key. It is called Palutena's Key, and it can only be found (inside a block) once all chambers in a level have already been entered. This key allows you to re-enter all previously entered rooms one more time.
