Resident Evil Zero @ GameCube Universe |
Resident Evil Zero Resident Evil Zero heads to Gamecube. Hear the story so far. October 13, 2000 Resident Evil Zero is now officially a Gamecube title. The game, originally in development for the N64, was thought to be switched over to Gamecube as long ago as May. See our first report on that here. Sure enough, just several months later after the official unveiling of Gamecube, Capcom formally announced the game has indeed been transferred onto Gamecube. Currently we only know as much about the game as we did when it was in development for the N64. Though, that being said, this is quite possibly the most known about game for Gamecube. From what we can tell, Capcom will probably keep the same storyline and simply port the thriller to Nintendo's brewing next-gen system. Gamecube will naturally lend itself willingly to graphically transform the Resident Evil series like no other system has done. Even better, because the Gamecube is so easy to develop for, Capcom will have plenty of time to implement everything it has always wanted to do in a Resident Evil game. Bearing that in mind, we excitedly look forward to E3 where it is expected Capcom will first officially unveil Resident Evil Zero in all its Gamecube glory. For now, enjoy our hands-on impressions with the deceased N64 version. We've slightly modified the text to reflect the fact that it is a Gamecube title, however. |
