Ingredients | |
3lb Flour | 2oz Ground Rice |
2lb Margarine | 1/2oz Essence of Lemon |
1lb Castor Sugar | |
Oven Temp and Time | Slow oven for about 30min or until pale brown |
Method | |
Sift the flour, mix the flour and sugar together on a board. | |
Then add the margarine and work it well in with the hands. | |
Knead the whole together for a sort time. | |
Roll out, divide into 24 cakes, and dust with the ground rice. | |
Place on greased trays, prick with docker** and bake in a slow oven | |
Production: | 24 at 2d each |
