Mysterian Singles Combat
What you have read on the previous page still applies in this text, however to make a one on one battle more realistic, the staff of Mysteria has brought to you these special rules, used in your defending roll.
Consider this... your opponant is a skilled swordsman and his blade is flashing towards your head. You could roll your evade and hopefully escape in time, or your could raise your own weapon or shield to block his attack.
We at Mysteria realize that a blocking motion is simpler than trying to move out of the way, so because of this often oversight we have given weapons and shields hit points, and an evade bonus should you choose to block with your weapon or shield.
Example
Morphius has a 45% attacking bonus and rolls a 1d100 slashing at Scandors legs with his bastardsword and receives a 37.
Scandor has a 40% evade and slashes at Morphius' sword with his bastard sword hoping to deflect the attack and receives a 43.
Now since Scandor used his weapon to block the attack is evade becomes 50% because of the 10% bonus and he successfully blocked the attack. So now Morphius still rolls damage.
Morphius rolls a 1d10 and receives an 8.
Scandors bastardsword loses the 8 hit points, not Scandor himself.
Once a weapon or shields hit points reach 0 or less, that item is destroyed beyond use and must be discarded.
