As I close my eyes
Letting out soft contented sighs
Feeling your fingertips brush across my cheek
Your strong arms providing the comfort I seek
Feeling your heart beat strong and true
Knowing I was born to spend eternity with you
Sliding my hand tenderly down the side of your face
My heart begins to quicken its pace
I envision these moments every night
When I rest my head clenching my eyes so tight
Even in the nights darkest hour
I can feel the strength of your loves power
When I open my eyes to the rising sun
It's hard to say where reality stopped and this fantasy has begun
Wrapping my arms around you drawing you near
I know loving you gives me nothing to fear
Snuggling up against you watching you sleep
Washes away all the memories that make me weep
From the day we first met
I knew loving you was something I would never regret
When I first laid my eyes upon you
The feelings I got were all brand new
Back then I wasn't sure what to think or do
How could I possibly fall in love with someone as kind as you
Given time and lots of space
The one thing I couldn't forget was your face
So now I give in to this emotion
I give to you my eternal devotion
I wake every morning by your side
Grateful I didn't hold onto foolish pride
As I whisper these words softly into your ear
My heart feels absolutely no fear
Brushing my lips lightly against your warm skin
Can you tell me where the fantasy ends and our reality did begin

As I sit here and think
Trying to find a link
Is it my mind that's growing weak
Is it comfort I seek
Searching for a place in which I belong
Fresh memories of those that have done me wrong
Falling hopelessly in love with my dearest friend
Yet always fearing it may end
I can close my eyes and hear his tender words ringing softly in my ear
I can feel his fingertips gently brush away my every tear
I can smell his scent on the air everywhere I go
I love him endlessly and truly that much I know
Planning our future together
Standing side by side even in stormy weather
I can feel his arms around me even when he's not near
His faith in me chases away even my deepest fear
For him I would even give my very life
I know someday soon I will be his wife
Nothing and no one could make me do him wrong
I finally realize it's in his arms that I belong
