One of the first enemy skills you can acquire. You can pick it up from the Custom Sweeper after you leave Midgar. You can also pick it up later at the Corel Prison from an enemy called Bullmotor. It does non-elemental damage to all opponents.
The next enemy skill you can acquire. You can pick it up from an enemy called Mu in the Grasslands Area (i.e. by the Chocobo Farm) after you leave Kalm. You can also pick it up later in the Bone Village area from an enemy called Trickplay. If you are lucky it will be used right away. Otherwise you may have to stay in the battle for quite a while. Make sure you or your allies don't have levels in multiples of four or you will be in big trouble when it is used. It causes [Critical/Small] to all opponents with levels in multiples of four.
Once you get L4 Suicide, you can then pick up this enemy skill. If you haven't done so already, go buy the Chocobo Lure Materia and some Mimmett Greens. You shouldn't need more than two or three of the greens. Yes, you have to use the expensive ones. I have experimented with the others available at the Chocobo Farm and these are the only ones that work. Sylkis or Reagan Greens may also work but they cost more than the Mimmett Greens and you can't get to them until Disc Two so why bother. Anyway, get in a battle with a Chocobo of level 16 in the Grasslands Area - the area around the Chocobo Farm - and have a member of your party throw a Mimmett Green at it, preferably one who does not have an Enemy Skill materia equipped. After the Chocobo finishes the green, have the character with the Enemy Skill use L4 Suicide and the Chocobo will use the Chocobuckle enemy skill. No, I cannot take credit for this one and I am not going to. Even my cousin's Final Fantasy VII strategy guide did not have this one in it (I used the guide for a while when I first started playing FFVII, mostly I was playing while my cousin was looking at the guide and helping me figure out where to go and what to do so while yes it did influence my own guide somewhat, when I decided I wanted to do my own on my own I put the guide down and never picked it back up). It is so unusual I'm sure it has its origins from someone at Squaresoft. I had twenty three of the twenty four enemy skills and must have looked for days trying to figure out where I could find number twenty four (this one). I revisited all the places I could get to and I think I even started a new game to see if I had overlooked it somewhere. I finally got desperate and looked it up on the internet (hey, this was a long time ago before I ever thought about having my own website guide) but I do not remember where. I think it may have been at Jester's Ultimate Final Fantasy Site but I'm not sure. In its original version you had to have each person in your party throw one green at the Chocobo. I experimented with it and found that it would work if just one party member threw all three, and then went a step farther and found it would work if you only threw one green. I suppose I could take some credit for the final version of this but if I had not read the original version I would have never known to throw any kind of green at a Chocobo and to then cast L4 Suicide enemy skill to get the Chocobo to cast Chocobuckle. I wish I knew who to give credit to for this but, alas, all I can say is it is not me. Anyway, this enemy skill will do non-elemental damage on any one opponent. The amount of damage is equal to the number of times you have escaped from battle. Not really a useful enemy skill but an enemy skill nonetheless.
This is a pretty cool enemy skill. You can get it from the Ark Dragon in the Mythril Mine. It causes fire damage to any single opponent.
This enemy skill kicks major butt. You can get it in the Gold Saucer Area. When you reach North Corel, exit to the world map. Wander around close to North Corel and fight some battles to raise your levels. Use cure spells to keep your HP up and run into North Corel to sleep when you need to be restored. Once you raise your levels enough that you can wander around a bit farther from north Corel without worrying about your HP too much, equip your Chocobo Lure Materia and go to the Chocobo tracks by the oceanside. Wander around on the tracks until you get in a Chocobo battle with an enemy by it's side called Harpy. The Chocobo is a level 22 and the Harpy looks like a mutated horse with wings. You can also pick it up later (Disc Two or Three) in the Sunken Gelnika from an enemy called Serpent. This enemy skill does water damage on all opponents.
NOTE: You can wait and pick up this enemy skill after you get the buggy. Once you have the buggy just drive around in the desert surrounding Gold Saucer and you will get in a battle with Harpy. However, if you raise your levels and get the enemy skill when you first reach North Corel, it will make the battles in the Corel Prison and beyond much easier. As an added bonus, with your dramatically increased levels, the manipulate materia, and the buggy, you will be ready to go back across the ocean to pick up some really great additional enemy skills and items. You should even have the levels and the equipment to face off against the Midgar Zolom and get the incredible (for this stage of the game) Beta enemy skill (see below). When you return to the Gold Saucer you will be ready to fight and win in the Battle Arena much easier.
You can get this enemy skill from the Death Claw in the Corel Prison. You can also pick it up in Disc Three at the Northern Crater from an enemy called Dark Dragon. It lessens one opponents HP by half.
When you come to the Gold Saucer for the first time, be sure to look around for a character called Cait Sith. He will join your party. Check his equipment for a Materia called Manipulate. Equip this materia to someone in your party and, after you get the buggy, go to the beaches around Costa Del Sol. When you get in a battle with Beach Plug, manipulate him and use Big Guard on your party. To my knowledge this is the only way to get it; at least it is the easiest and you can get to it from all three discs. An excellent enemy skill as this adds [Barrier/MBarrier/Haste] to every ally.
You can get this enemy skill in the Junon/Fort Condor area. Keep Manipulate equipped and when you get back here after getting the buggy, you can wander and get in a battle with Zemzelett. Manipulate him and use White Wind on your party. This is a very useful enemy skill if the right character has it. It restores HP and status to every ally. The amount of HP restored is equal to the current (not the max) HP of the party member who casts it (in other words don't have someone who is low on HP use this unless you are very very desperate).
You can get this enemy skill from the Midgar Zolom in the Grasslands Area (by the Chocobo Farm). To my knowledge this is the only place/way to get it. Wait until after you get the buggy and/or your party's HP is up to about 1500 or more. Equip the two enemy skills; equip the Fire Ring accessory to one of the enemy skill carriers and an Elemental->Fire (or Ifrit) materia pairing to the armor of the other enemy skill carrier. Go through the Mythril Mine and when you come out the other side you can get in a battle with the Zolom. Do damage (not too much) until he casts Beta. If you are lucky he will not have ejected one of the enemy skill carriers from the battle. If he does just heal up and get in a battle with him again until you have it on both enemy skill materias. Anyway, this one does fire damage on all opponents.
You can get this enemy skill from Frogs in the forests in the Gongaga Area. You can get it after you get the buggy but be sure to go back across the ocean to pick up the awesome enemy skills and other equipment (like mythril and bolt ring from the sleeping man in the cave in the Junon Area). Also if you plan on fighting in the Battle Arena at Gold Saucer, be sure to do that first before going on to the Gongaga Area. You do not have a Ribbon accessory yet and it is difficult to win in the arena if you have to go up against Frogs and Gagighandi without one. Anyway, you can also pick up this enemy skill later in the Temple of the Ancients from an enemy called Touch Me. It causes [Sleepel/Frog] on an opponent (note: the enemy skill inventory says it does to all opponents, but it doesn't).
You can get this enemy skill from Sneaky Step in the Gi Cave at Cosmo Canyon. You can also pick it up later in the Coral Valley from an enemy called Boundfat. Either way it is used often so you can pick it up pretty easily. When used, the opponent has 60 seconds before the Grim Reaper shows up to cast [Instant Death].
No kidding, this is what it's called. You can get this enemy skill from Jersey in the Shinra Mansion at Nibelheim. You can also pick it up later in Disc Two, in the Winding Tunnel when you return to Midgar, from an enemy called Behemoth. It does damage equal to the difference between your current HP and your max HP.
There are only three places to get this enemy skill in the game. The first is from the Materia Keeper at Mt. Nibel; the second is from an enemy called Stilva at Gaea's Cliff; the last is from the last challenge at the Pagoda in Wutai. I thought at first I might be able to pick it up from the same enemies in the Battle Arena but as it turns out you cannot pick up any enemy skills in the Battle Arena. Anyway, this enemy skill deals lightning based damage to all opponents.
You can get this enemy skill from Razor Weeds in the Wutai Area. It drains up to 100 MP from an opponent each time it is used.
You can get this enemy skill from Adamantaimai in the Wutai Area. It makes an ally immune to death.
You can get this enemy skill from an enemy called Stilva at Gaea's cliff. It does Fire/Ice/Lightning damage on all opponents.
You can get this enemy skill from an enemy called Malboro at Gaea's cliff. You can also pick it up later in the Northern Crater from the same enemy. It does status [Poison/Confu/Sleepel/Silence/Small/Frog] to all opponents.
You can get this enemy skill from an enemy called Goblin. Goblins can be found after you get the Highwind. There's a group of islands on the eastern edge of the map collectively called - guess what - Goblin Island. This enemy skill does non-elemental damage to one opponent.
You can get this enemy skill from one of the four Weapons - Ultimate Weapon (the flying weapon). Find him flying over the round lake by Junon after Diamond Weapon emerges from the sea and attacks Midgar in disc two. Fly into him and proceed to fight battles with him and chase him around the world map multiple times. Eventually he will end up at Cosmo Canyon for a final showdown (I have fought as many as six battles before he ends up there). At the end of the battle he uses this enemy skill as a final attack. You can also get this enemy skill from Dragon Zombie in the Northern Crater in disc three. Use laser enemy skill to get his HP below 3000 to get him to use it. Anyway, this enemy skill does non-elemental damage to one opponent.
You can get this enemy skill from an enemy called Death Dealer. They can be found in the Northern Crater in Disc Three. This enemy skill randomly picks from all the participants in the battle and deals instant death to the lucky (ha) winner.
You can get this enemy skill from an enemy called Dark Dragon. They can be found in the Northern Crater in Disc Three. It raises the defense of one ally.
You can get this enemy skill from an enemy called Dragon Zombie. They can be found in the Northern Crater in Disc Three. This one is really tricky to get. In fact, when I first enter the part of the Northern Crater where they first appear, I equip all four enemy skill materias to be sure I get it on all of them the first time it is used. I'm not sure if it is used again yet. I use Laser enemy skill over and over until the HP drops to 20 or so. Then I use Morph on the beast. You can also equip Cloud with his Ultima weapon and use Double Cut leveled up to 4x cut to get it. I'm still not sure why these work. It could be that either trying to Morph him or killing him excessively with a physical attack causes him to use it. Anyway, as a final attack the beast casts Pandora's Box. It does non-elemental damage to all opponents.
You can get this enemy skill from an enemy called Pollensalta. They can be found in the Northern Crater in Disc Three. This is a good enemy skill to get before you try to get Roulette and it is awesome. Not only will it revive a fallen ally, it also restores maximum HP (even on someone who is not fallen).
You can get this enemy skill from an enemy called Gargoyle. They can be found in the Northern Crater in Disc Three. They use this as a final attack. It deals instant death to all opponents with levels in multiples of five.
