And They Shall have Stars

         The battles for Golgotha experienced in the fourth Millenium were desperate struggles for sparsely populated worlds across a virgin spiral. Space vessels travelled at sub warp speeds, making in sector travel possible but slow. Travel between sectors could only happen by use of Cryogenic vessels carrying their deep frozen passengers from sector to sector.  The war was therefore fought without outside influence and the core sectors became forgotten myths from an earlier age.

             The ships were small high tech vessels and the heart of the armed forces were huge piloted battlemechs. However because populations were small armed forces were also limited. It was an age of limited highly destructive skirmishes. An age of lances and great houses, an age of almost private warfare in a contest whose roots were long forgotten and incomprehesible. However war it was and men died.
