Rudi Wagener (#10, 3-1-0, 2KO) KO6 Albert Lloyd (UR, 0-1-0, 0KO)

Rosco Toles (#3) wins a unanimous decision over Paul Cavalier (#6) in a 10 rounder. Toles jabs very accurately early, and Cavalier is cut a minute into the fight. Toles stays on the move, jabbing at Cavalier's cut eye, reopening the laceration in round 3. Toles backs Cavalier into a corner but misses every punch he throws, allowing Cavalier to land some nice counters working out of the corner in round 4. Both fighters plant their feet and trade in round 5. Toles gets the better of the stirring exchange, but Cavalier opens a cut over Toles' right eye. Toles remains on the outside, dancing and jabbing, eluding Cavalier's rushes easily in the 6th. Cavalier has a good 9th round, going for the knockout, but Toles takes the other late rounds and the decision. Mike Schreck (#9) blasts out Al Kubiak (#14), knocking him out in 2. Schreck breaks out the big guns early, and Kubiak is stung several times in round 1. Schreck catches Kubiak coming in with a compact uppercut that drops him for the full count a minute into round 2. Amos Johnson (#4) scores an 8th round knockout of rookie George Stirling (UR) in a real barnburner. Stirling is very aggressive from the opening bell, and Johnson has trouble holding him off early, eating some good hooks to the head. Johnson starts pumping the jab in round 3, and when Stirling bulls inside Johnson hammers him with counter left hooks. Stirling scores a flash knockdown with a body punch that makes Johnson touch down with his glove early in the 4th. Johnson isn't really hurt, and Stirling only lands a couple shots in the follow up flurry. By the 6th, Stirling is punched out and Johnson is scoring at will. After softening up the exhausted Stirling, Johnson lands a wicked hook to the jaw that drops Stirling with a minute left in the fight. Stirling makes absolutely no effort to rise and takes the full count. Rudi Wagener (#10) scores a 6th round knockout of rookie Albert Lloyd (UR) in a savage slugfest. Lloyd stuns Wagener early and Wagener staggers to the ropes covering up. Wagener recovers to punish Lloyd in the 2nd, landing 3 huge right hands in a row early in the round. Lloyd scores some nice shots in the 3rd, but Wagener stuns him with another bone-rattling right hand as the round ends. Lloyd looks exhausted after that, and Wagener picks his spots, teeing off on Lloyd's chin. Halfway through round 6, Wagener sees his opening and drops a terrific right hook right on the button, flooring Lloyd. Lloyd gets up to a knee, but can't beat the count. Welcome to the EBC Mr. Lloyd.

Madison Square Garden - New York, NY
EBC Heavyweight Championship
Zora Folley (#1, 6-0-0, 1KO) W15 Sinan Samil Sam (#2, 5-1-0, 3KO)
Cleveland Williams (#8, 6-1-1, 6KO) TKO3 Francois Hendrickx (#7, 4-2-1, 2KO)
Jimmy Young (#18, 5-1-1, 0KO) W12 George Johnson (#16, 5-2-0, 1KO)
Tommy Farr (#15, 8-1-0, 1KO) TKO6 Bill Bailey (UR, 0-1-0, 0KO)

Zora Folley (#1) becomes the new EBC Heavyweight Champion with a 15 round unanimous decision over Sinan Samil Sam (#2) in a good fight. Folley stings Sam early in the 2nd, then follows with a nice flurry. Sam occasionally lands a flush right hand, but he doesn't land often enough so Folley takes most of the early rounds. Sam bravely sacrifices his head to land a couple of his bombs, but Folley makes him pay over and over. By round 9 Folley looks tired and Sam starts to land more often, including a thudding uppercut as the 9th round ends. Folley, who starts to swell on an eye, lands a hook to the liver that drops Sam for an 8 count early in the 10th. Sam really takes a beating on the ropes before the 10th ends. Both fighters fade down the stretch, but Folley's domination of the early rounds is the difference. Zora Folley becomes the first EBC Heavyweight Champion. Cleveland Williams (#8) scores a 3rd round TKO over outgunned Francois Hendrickx (#7). Hendrickx has a good first round, stinging Williams with an uppercut on the inside, but Williams drops Hendrickx for an 8 count early in the 2nd. Hendrickx rises but takes several good shots to the head before the round ends. Williams absolutely pounds Hendrickx in the 3rd, and Hendrickx can't do anything but cover up and eat right hands until the referee Hugh McIntosh stops the fight at the end of the 3rd. Jimmy Young wins a unanimous decision over George "Scrapiron" Johnson in 12 rounds. Young wins the early frames by flashing his handspeed, then clinching to smother Johnson's attack. Young has a good rally in the 4th, forcing Johnson to back off from a shower of jabs. Young continues to outwork Johnson while remaining an elusive target in the middle rounds. By round 10 the exhausted Johnson can't even touch Young with a meaningful punch. Young stays active in the last few rounds to cement the unanimous decision. Comebacking Tommy Farr (#15) looks impressive scoring a 6th round TKO over rookie Bill Bailey (UR) when Bailey's eye becomes too swollen to continue. Bailey shows how raw he is early, as Farr toys with him jabbing and staying out of range. Bailey lands a couple shots in the 3rd, but by then Farr has jabbed up a swelling on Bailey's left eye. Bailey fouls Farr trying some bulling tactics on the inside, but Farr dances away to punish Bailey with right hands. Farr cuts Bailey on the other eye in round 5, rending Bailey nearly blind. The doctor finally, mercifully stops the slaughter at 2:12 of the 6th round.
