Heavyweight Mike Schreck (#12) wins a close but unanimous decision over aussie George Stirling (#13) in 10 rounds. Stirling holds and works on the inside in the 1st, but Schreck comes back strongly in the 2nd, ringing Stirling's bell with a right hand. Stirling wobbles Schreck with an uppercut in the 3rd, and Mike shows an eye swelling after the round. Schreck rebounds to punish Stirling in the 4th and 5th with hard hooks upstairs. Both men come alive in the 8th and the action is thick on both sides. Schreck cautiously leads the final 2 rounds and the unanimous decision....... Heavyweight Gunboat Smith (#10) wins a unanimous decision over Tom McMahon (#21) in 10. Not much action early, but McMahon does some nice work in the 3rd. Smith tears into him to start the 5th, and McMahon is repeatedly staggered by hooks upstairs. Smith continues to hammer the Bearcat, and McMahon is swollen and wobbly after the 6th. McMahon fights on the run for the rest of the fight, though Smith floors him briefly in the 9th, and Smith takes the unanimous decision........Light heavyweight Leeonzer Barber (#13) wins a unanimous decision over powerful Mel Brown (#9) in 10 rounds. Barber staggers Brown in round one with a left hook, and Brown clumsily slows the action. Barber takes all of Browns best shots early, and his excellent chin is in evidence. Barber is staggered in the 4th, but comes back strong late in the round. Barber takes the 5th, landing a hard uppercut and a nasty low blow for which he is warned. Barber continues to maul and rough up Brown, who seems gassed in the 7th. Barber cautiously leads Brown around the ring for the rest of the fight, and Brown has no solution. Barber by unanimous decision....... Heavyweights Steve Dudas (#23) and Anthony Thompson (#27) battle to a 10 round draw. Both men are a bit too respectful of the other's power early, and the trading really doesn't start until round 3. Thompson has a rally in the 4th, wobbling Dudas with a right hand. Dudas comes back strong in round 6, and Thompson looks arm-weary after emptying the guns in the 5th. The violence reaches a peak in round 8 with both men eschewing defense to lob right hands at each other. Late in round 9 Dudas lands a body shot that floors Thompson for an 8 count. Dudas lands a few more shots, but both men are pretty much spent. The result is no action in the final round, with the scorecards reading 96-96, 96-95 for Thompson and 96-95 for Dudas, a draw.

Super middleweight Antwun Echols (#1) steamrolls Librado Andrade (#2) in the pair's rematch, knocking him flat in one round. Echols opens up at the 1 minute mark, and Andrade takes a pounding until Echols' coup-de-grace right hand with 15 seconds left in the first. Andrade crashes to the canvas for the full count. Echols continues to tower above his division and a suitable contender to fight him for the vacant belt still is nowhere to be found......... Middleweight Tommy Uren (#9) scores a cuts TKO in 5 rounds over Paddy Young (#10). After a tepid 1st, Young connects with a huge right hand early in the 2nd causing Uren to backpedal as Paddy lays into him. Uren rallies in the 4th, and Young suffers a horrific cut over an eye. Uren targets the eye in the 5th, and the referee almost immediately stops the contest........ Light heavyweight Al Gainer (#6) wins a unanimous decision in a shootout with Prentiss Hall (#12) in 10 rounds. Gainer breaks out the heavy artillery early and Hall is overwhelmed. Hall gets on his toes and works from the outside to good effect in the 4th. Incredibly, Hall throws a 6 punch combination that floors Gainer early in the 5th. Gainer is up at 8 but Hall tears into him the rest of the round. Gainer returns the favor, dropping Hall for a 2 count late in round 7. Hall is still woozy and Gainer floors him again in the 8th for a 6 count. Gainer gives it all he has, but Hall survives to the final bell. Gainer however takes the unanimous decision.......... In the opening bout cruiserweight Marvin Camel (#5) wins a split decision over Christophe Girard (#6) in 10 rounds. Camel comes out swinging, and Girard eats several hard punches before going into defensive mode in the 1st. Girard gets it going and a few very close rounds ensue. Both men foul each other in the 4th, but Camel does much more work. Girard wins a couple round working underneath, while Camel is warned for pushing to keep the mauling Frenchman off of him. Girard has a nice rally in the 8th, and the scoring tightens up. Girard roars out of his corner to rough up Camel in the 9th, but the ref subtracts a point for a low blow. There's not much action in the final round and Girard breaks his hand on Camel's forehead in the closing seconds. Camel takes the razor close split decision 95-94, 93-96 and 96-94.

HWLarry Middleton (#17, 11-5-0, 3KO) TKO10 Terrence Lewis (#19, 1-1-0, 0KO)

Heavyweight Sinan Samil Sam (#6) wins a bruising, mauling 12 round decision over previously undefeated Henry Akinwande (#9). Sam bulls Henry to the corner and lays a couple good right hands on him in the 1st. Akinwande comes back to wobble the turk with a straight right hand in round 3. Sam wrestles and shoves Akinwande around, landing some good uppercuts on the inside that stagger the nigerian. Sam continues a withering assault in the 5th, and Akinwande looks glassy eyed after the round. The action slows quite a bit as now both men clinch and wrestle in the middle rounds. Akinwande lands a hard right hand that staggers the turk in round 8. Sam lands a perfect uppercut that has Akinwande out on his feet as the 9th round ends. Sam walks in with hooks to the body that drop Akinwande for a 7 count in the 10th, and Henry doesn't look well at all staggering to his corner after the round. The final 2 rounds are pretty even as Akinwande recovers enough to tie up Sam whenever the turk lands. Sam takes the unanimous decision by a wide margin. Light heavyweight Jorge Ahumada (#7) wins a unanimous decision over Dave Davis (#14) in 10 rounds. Ahumada strings a series of right hands together that wobble and finally floor Davis in the 2nd. Dave is up at 7 and he escapes a knockout for the final 20 seconds of the round. Jorge continues to punish the brit upstairs, landing about every power punch he throws in the 3rd. By round 5 the heavy leather starts to swell up Davis' eye, and Ahumada turns up the heat. Jorge puts him down in round 8, and Davis barely beats the count. Ahumada wins the final 2 rounds to convincingly defeat Davis by unanimous decision. Junior middleweights Antonio Castellini (#5) and Michael Lerma (#3) fight to a 10 round draw. Castellini stays on the inside, an he stings Lerma early which slows the american momentarily. Antonio out works Lerma until Mike lands a big uppercut in the 4th that staggers Castellini. Lerma lands well for a couple of rounds, but Castellini has a big rally in the 8th, wobbling Lerma with an uppercut before opening up. The pair trade bombs in the 9th, with Lerma landing more often. Castellini is dominating the action in the 10th when Lerma lands a left hook from the parking lot that drops Castellini for a 5 count with 20 seconds left in the fight. It impacts the final scoring drastically and Lerma pulls out a draw with the punch....... Heavyweight Larry Middleton (#17) scores a cuts TKO over rookie Terrence Lewis (#19) in round 10 of their contest. Middleton uses his superior boxing skills to keep Lewis at long range, while lobbing overhand rights on the very green Lewis. Terrence lands a huge left hook that puts Middleton on the defensive in the 3rd, and Larry's eye swells from the big shot. Lewis is warned for a low blow in the 4th, and this enrages Terrence who lays into Middleton with sweeping hooks until Larry times a left hook that staggers Lewis at the bell. Lewis tires in the 5th and Middleton takes full advantage, now jabbing, now tying Lewis up and working the body. Middleton stays more active late, but Lewis occasionally lands a flush shot which Larry absorbs well. Middleton lands a hard hook that cuts Lewis badly on the forehead. The doctor takes a look, but Lewis is allowed to continue though he spends a lot of time wiping the cut with his glove. Both fighters rest a couple of rounds, but Middleton reopens the cut on Terrence's forehead with an uppercut early in the 10th. The doctor takes another look and stops the contest a minute into the final round.

Former EBC heavyweight champion Zora Folley (#2) scores a unanimous decision victory over Tommy Martin (#5) in a long awaited match. Folley stings Martin early, and Tommy barely lands a glove on the former champ until he lands a huge right hook late in the 2nd. Martin staggers Folley with an uppercut in the 5th, and Zora takes a licking the rest of the round. Folley sharpshoots the jab from his bicycle in the 6th, and the momentum swings his way. Folley works the jab, zinging hard straight shots to Martin's now swollen and cut face in the 8th. Martin is gassed the final 2 rounds and Folley cements his unanimous decision victory with a barrage that leaves Martin looking like a bloody raccoon. ........Cruiserweight Jose Luis Rivera wins a unanimous decision over former champion Sebastian Rothman in 10 rounds. Rothman dominates early, but he loses a point for a low blow in the 1st. Rivera staggers Rothman in the 2nd, and Rothman soaks up right hands upstairs. Rothman floors Rivera with a straight hand in the 4th, but Rivera goes into a defensive shell while Rothman wings wild hooks. Rivera drops Rothman with a short hook in the 6th, and Rothman staggers to the canvas again before rising at 4. The action slows as both men get very cautious for a couple of rounds. Rothman takes the final round, but Rivera wins the very close majority decision 96-93, 94-94 and 96-92...........Middleweights Young Stuhley (#7) and Billy Angelo (#8) fight to a 10 round draw. Stuhley is the better boxer, but everytime Angelo touches him with the right hand early Stuhley wobbles, and the result is several even rounds. Round after round of dead even action ensues until Angelo gets a good rally going in the 8th. Stuhley fades late and Angelo opens up in the 9th, raising a huge welt on Stuhley's eye. Stuhley takes the final round and the scoring not surprisingly ends up a draw............... In a battle of Italian heavies in Brooklyn Franco Cavicchi (#14) wins a majority decision from Vittorio Campolo (#11) in 10 rounds. The pair trade power punches right from the get go, but Campolo blinks first after Cavicchi wobbles him with a right hand in the 2nd. Franco tears into him with hard punches until the end of the round, while Campolo stands flat footed. Campolo lands a hard right that wobbles Franco in the 3rd, and Vittorio roughs him up in the corner. Cavicchi comes back with a big right hand that staggers Campolo again in the 4th. Campolo continues to absorb big shots in the 5th, and Cavicchi looks great working his fellow countryman over. Campolo is out of gas by the end of the 6th, and Cavicchi lands left hooks with impunity. Cavicchi takes a rest in the 7th, and Campolo lands some hard shots. The final 3 rounds are about even, and the majority decision goes to Franco Cavicchi.
