Eternal Darkness

Are you tired of people accusing the Gamecube of being a kiddie system? Well this game will change that opinon.
Eternal Darkness is a psychological thriller, an action adventure game along the lines of Resident Evil. It is rated M (mature) by the ERSB for gore and violence. It has a release date of June 24, 2002. As a player takes on the roles of multiple characters in an epic that takes place over thousands of years, a dwindling sanity meter will cause them to question their grasp of what is real and what is not. For the lower the sanity meter is the more your character will halucinate; see things and creatures which aren't really there. Sounds good right? Any game which your character can go insane and battle the undead sounds like fun to me. Personally I can't wait for the game.

The game looks amazing so far. Eternal Darkness combines action with puzzle-solving to tell a complex and horrifying story of cosmic doom. This title features viberant cut-scenes, facial expressions and the ability to flood a scene with 20 detailed enemies. The combat system will give players the ability to wield swords and guns and cast mind-warping spells. This adventure will boast cinematic visuals, music and sound effects. It also features voice acting in serveal different lauguages! In an anciet Roman level the characters were speaking Latin with english subtitles. Simply amazing.

Each character is very detaled and has his or her own different time and can only use weapons in accordence for that time. For example Alex Rovais the primary hero of the game (see above for her picture) seems to be living in the 20th century so she wealds a nifty shotgun. But this soilder who lives in ancient Rome has no gunpowder, but plenty of razor-sharp blades.
