Little Totterington Home
|
The village pub, in a half-timbered building that has been sympathetically restored by the Treble Brewery chain. As well as the local cask-conditioned beer, all major brands of bottled beer and draught lagers, there is a guest beer. This is changes regularly, demonstrating the landlord's commitment to providing a quality drinking experience.
This building was the site of brief, but fierce resistance by the defeated Cavaliers after the Battle of Sourby Moor (1644) during the Civil War. Holes made by musket balls can still be seen in the walls, and there is a small display case of contemporary memorabilia.
Bar meals are provided, with seating also available outside on the village green.
Limited bed and breakfast accommodation (2 double, 1 single, no en suite)
