The Furry Dance weekend was a great success, say Little Totterington villagers |
Despite the tragic events that marred the start of the festive weekend, villagers considered this year's dance was a great success. Last minute substitutions in the dance team, due to illness, meant that the dancing might not have been as polished as in previous years, but the dancers made up for it with enthusiasm and good humour. Our photographer was there to capture events. See his pictures! |

Break-
in at Little Totterington Veterinary Surgery |
[dateline
Saturday 28 September] The village was shocked by a burglary at the
Totterington Veterinary Centre last night. Extensive damage was
caused to the front door and a cellar. The police said that some items
were missing, and that they were concerned about the state of mind of
the burglars. They would not disclose why they made this
statement, except to indicate that they had found indications of cruelty
to animals and occult practices in the basement. Miss Nora MacNab,
a veterinary assistant, said tearfully that the surgery would re-open on
Monday for emergencies only. The owner, Mr Alan Carder, was not
available for comment. |
