The Nintendo Gameboy Advance is the most powerful handheld gaming console in the
world. It is the latest installment of the Gameboy consoles.
There were previous versions of Gameboy such as the Gameboy color, Gameboy pocket, and
the original Gameboy. The best thing about the Gameboy Advance is
that it can play games the other Gameboy consoles. This not only
gives you a huge variety of games to choose but also cheaper older
games. Not all of the older games were bad because there are some
that are much better than the new ones. Although the larger size
of the older cartridges make your Gameboy Advance look strange.
This handheld console is the best because you can take it anywhere you
want.
It is a 32-bit console like the Playstation 1 but it does not have a 3D graphics chip. It is really nice because it has four action buttons unlike the older Gameboy that had only two. More buttons mean more actions and better control in games. It has A and B buttons on the left hand side and L and R buttons on top. It uses 2 AA batteries which can last up to 15 hours. You can also buy AC adapters if you don't want to waste your batteries The reason I put info on the Gameboy Advance here is because it can be linked to the Nintendo Gamecube. Once linked, the Gameboy Advance can be used as a controller. This greatly enhances the game play because you get options on the Gameboy advance screen that are not available without it. In order to that you need to have a Link cable. The only game as of right now that uses this option is Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. I can't wait until the Pokemon Advance videogame comes out because of this linkup feature. Although I don't own a Gameboy Advance yet. My friend has one and it is amazing. The games are just amazing. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is one of the coolest games I have played in the Gameboy Advance. I haven't played in a while though. I would recommend you to get a Gameboy Advance as soon as possible. It is a great handheld console. Or if you are like me, just wait until "Pokemon Advance" comes out or until more Gamecube games that use the Gameboy Advance as a controller come out. In the long run the Gameboy Advance is a great buy and the recent price drop to $69.99 make it a great buy. Games cost around $30 but you can still play the older, cheaper games on it. |
