I could not find a pvc pipe reducer big enough to make
a silencer so I thought of another way for a really
good one and made it, here are the plans!!
Spiral Ported Silencer
Materials:
(1) 3/4" I.D. pvc, 10-12"
(1) Pringles Can
(1) piece of pvc that will fit over your barrel
tightly and over the silencer tightly!
(1) Drill
(1) 3/8" or 4/16" drill bit
(1) 7/8" drill bit
(1) roll of scotch tape
(1) Marker
(1) ruler
(?) enough cloth or TP to fill the Pringles can
Steps:
1:
Measure about a little shorter then the length of the
pringles can from one end of the 3/4" I.D. pvc and
mark that spot with a marker.
2:
Take about 2' of the tape and mark every centimeter or
every other centimeter, depending on how many holes
you want.
3:
Put the tape on the pvc starting at the same end you
measuered from in a even spiral! This is easy, just
make sure you dont wrinkle the tape and it is even!
Now you have the spiral porting marked! Make sure not
to go past the spot you measered to!
4:
Drill a hole everywhere there is a mark on the tape!
Now you have spiral porting done!
5:
Now drill a 7/8" hole in the bottom and top of the
pirngel can. Just get as close to the center as you
can!
6:
Put the pvc through the pringles can! YOU MUST HAVE
the holes in the pvc in the can!
7:
Glue the pvc in place with a hot glue gun! Dont glue
the side that is the lid yet!
8:
Fill the can with the Toilet Paper in a spiral motion,
Wraping around the pvc as you go!!
9:
Glue the lid to the pvc and the can!
10:
Paint the silencer as desired!
11:
!!!DONE!!!
To smooth out the barrel of the silencer tape heavy
duty steal wool to a small wooden dowl so the in the
middle the steal wool is still showing! Put the dowl
in a drill and put this in the barrel and smooth away
for about 10-15 minutes!
Now you have a great silencer the was EXTREMELY cheap
to make!!
