I found a great way to cheaply and effectively camoflauge yourself and
still
retain all the freedom of movement you would have by wearing only pants
and a
shirt. All you need it:
1 pair of camo pants
1 black T-shirt(or sweatshirt)
1 pair of black shoes and black socks
1 paintball face mask
1 camoflauged hat that fits well with the face mask
and a few rolls of camo tape and an old camo T-shirt.
First tear or cut the camo T-shirt into strips about a foot long
and an
inch or so thick, make sure to vary the lengths and widths to make
better
camo. You don't need many strips only twenty or so. Take the strips
and
slide them through the lower holes of your mask, but don't tie them on.
Take
a piece of shoelace or string and tie them to each strip of camo on the
inside. This is for quick removal. You can also tie bits of foliage
from
your playing area to enhance the camo. The strips will not only
camoflauge
your neck and shoulders, but also protect your neck slightly from
paintballs.
Now take the camo tape and place it in random patterns across your
gun
and hopper. This will help break up the outline on of the gun and make
it
harder to recognize from distances. You can also camoflauge your
hopper by
tying extra camo strips to your hopper, but I wouldn't recomment tying
them
so they interfer with your ability to aim.
Finally, place random strips of camo tape on your shirt and
mask(for
night play use electrical tape instead or camo tape). This will give
your
torso and face the look of foliage and shadows(you can also use the
tape to
tape on leaves and twigs). I realize these ideas are not new, but
using them
together can really break up your outline without having a cumbersome
and
expensive Ghillie suit.
