Recently while tinkering with my Tippmann 98 I discovered a way to
severly
lighten the weight of the trigger pull, giving you a much higher rate
of
fire. Its actually quite simple and I'm surprised I haven't seen
anyone
suggest it. I have included a .jpg file to give you a good idea of
what it
is. It is highly recommended that you know how to strip you gun and
know its
internals well. I also recommend an agitator, because you may chop
balls.
Tools:
Paperclip (small)
Needlenose Pliers
Instructions:
1. Disassemble as demostrated in manual.
2. Notice where the trigger's spring is connected below the bolt.
Remove
the lower part of the spring from the small "pole" it is holding onto.
This
spring gives the gun its trigger strength.
3. Obtain a small paperclip and needlenose pliers. Cut the paperclip
in
half approx. 2 times or whatever size suits you best. It must be
extremely
small to fit in the gun.
4. Bend the tips of the paperclip with the pliers so that one end is a
near-complete circle and the other is in a hook shape.
5. Place the circle end of the paperclip over the "pole", where the
spring
used to be.
6. Now attach the loose end of the spring to the hook end of the
paperclip.
7. Reassemble gun and test out your new light trigger!
I haven't tested the pull weight of it (as in exact measurements), but
I know
this works very well. I can get up to 7-10 shots per second now.
Please
give me some feedback on how well it works for you at
