The Homelands - Ashford Town

I've been to the Homelands twice, but the pictures you see aren't in fact mine, but a mate of mine Chris Price who took them at the end of an end of season game in the 2001-2002 season. My ever lasting memory of the place will be Tim Thoroughgood's opinion that it won't take a lot to bring the ground upto Conference standards. Certainly not sure I agree with that. One thing it has got going for it is that it is set a long way from anywhere, and so there is lots of room to build on. However it also means it gets pretty cold, especially in May, when you are watching you Under 18s win a trophy. When the game went to extra time I almost cried, it was that cold

The main stand is quite good. But that is pretty much all there is to the place. Conference? Naa. Terracing one side of the ground

The main stand. The facilities within the stand are quite good
