The Deva Stadium - Chester City
Now don't get me wrong. I don't have that much against Chester. I do in fact have a very good friend from Chester who is a staunch CCFC supporter. But I do NOT like this ground. Its the memories. Memories of hoping, willing, preying that we at least managed to hold out for a 0-0 draw only to go 1-0 down after 90 seconds. Memories of losing 3-0 and seeing the players collapse onto the pitch so hopelessly. The only time I've been here was the game that saw us relegated from the Conference, so you can forgive me for not loving the place too much. Of course it takes more than one game to see a side relegated, but our relegation is not something I want to discuss too much. Not unless I have a good amount of alcohol inside me anyway.
The thing I most disliked about the place though was the lack of atmosphere. The stands seemed too far separated from each other. The Dover fans were quiet throughout. But that is not really a surprise is it?
