Middlefield Lane - Hinckley United
The ground that time forgot, and the ground which most people who visit it really wish that they could. Hinckley are of course building a new ground, and thankfully so is the response. The pitch itself is evidence that the earth is round, while the ground is evidence that it does not take much for a ground to be accepted into the Southern League Premier Division. What I found particularly amusing was that when the town's two clubs merged they chose this ground because it was the better of the two.
The most accurate description of the place was 'Most people wipe their feet on the way out', and that was from a Hinckley fan!
