The Moorlands - Moor Green
My first taste of a Southern League ground. I was quite happy to keep an open mind about it...but then I saw the place. My God! Jeez! We were at places like Yeovil last season! Just some of the reactions which came to mind upon entering. The grass extends beyond the pitch, with no terracing down either wings of the ground. It does however have some sort of charm about it. But hey we won 2-0 on my first visit so it's not all bad.
The programme notes did state that this was Dover's first visit to the place for 10 years and they hoped we noticed the subtle ground improvements. Thankfully the following statement was 'But speaking seriously...'
