Small beings made out of energy, wisps help the elven races by building the different structures that they require. Unlike other builders, they cannot be placed into mines. But the fact that they cannot mine makes you want to kick them in their butt, wherever that is. They do make up for that by being pretty good builders and 4 of them may merge into an Ancient Wisp.

Dark Infantry are not very liked in WBC as their low HP an dhigh price makes them die fast and not have enough of them to face the enemy while ignoring casualties at the same time. To make up for that, they have some of the most kick-arse voices in the game.

Dark archers are not just another missie unit. Like half the dark elf army, they can poison units. In fact, along with the black mages, they are the only units that can poison from a distance, and they don't need mana for it. They are also good for low armor annoying barbarian units, since they have a range upgrade.

Dark riders do not have bad stats, but that does not excuse the fact that they are close to being worhless to anybody other than undead heroes and archmages that is. They cost as much as a dragon knight, but with less combat, a lot less armor and they can't attack air. WIth vampirism and phantom stee however they become quite useful.

Sorcerers are the most powerful spellcasters in the game. They may summon zombies to put into mines, which is quite an advantage for the dark eves. But their main strngth lies in the battlefield. with upgrades, 30 damage worth of armor piercing damage make them deadly for both armies and high level heroes. And should any foolish melee unit dare attempt to touch them, they can unleash deadly pillars of fire, roasting anything in range. Their only weakness is that they are outranged by archers, and low armor means they won't last long enough to get into range.

Ancient wisps are formed by merging 4 normal wisps. They are weaker at building than wisps, but cna attack multiple units, ignore armor and generate crystal, which makes them well worth having.

Althpugh they may look weak, they are not so. Their power lies in assassination, hence the name. With the upgrades, they have a 10% chance of outright killing any enemy non-hero unit. Their hihg combat and speed ensures that tey will avoid hits while quickly attacking and trying to kill the enemy. Extremely useful against slow but tough troops like dwarf lords or slayer knights.

Queen spides are highly avlued for the ability to lay eggs. They can be used to replenish an army after a long tough battle. Their stats are better than normal spiders and along with spiders can be used to take the damage for an army of sorcerers who will shoot down enemies form a safe distance.

Tiny creatures, fast but weak with the ability to poison. They can easily be used to overrun enemy bases as queen spiders can lay eggs in enemy bodies, which hatch into small spiders

Best armor in the game, along with good hits and very high armor means that they won't die anytime soon. They may turn invisible to perform sneak attacks on enemies and they may even get lucky and poison somebody. But their attack rate is quite slow, compared to their speed so faster units will bring them down.

Every one thousand years, Aranea, the dark elven goddes, chooses a sorceror to mate with and join her in godhood. After a thousand years have passed, she mates with him and the devours her mate, picking a new sorceror to join her. It is the greatest honor a dark elf can recieve. Kargoth is fast, and shoots a deadly bolt of green lightning. Like all titans, he ignores armor and causes terror upon enemy armies.
