Pirates of the Carribean - Movie Review
Pirates of the Carribean

A great swashbuckling pirate ghost story about a crew of pirates that steal Cortez's cursed Aztec gold. The pirates led by Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) engaged in mutiny by leaving their ex-captain Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) marooned on an island with one pistol charged. To break the curse the pirates must get back every piece of the treasure along with the blood of Bootstrap Bill's son Will Turner.(Orlando Bloom) A young lady named Elizabeth Swam (Kiera Knightley) that rescued Turner along time ago, is helping to foil the pirates' plot.
Johnny Depp really makes this movie what it is, aside from the sword fights and the great special effects on the skeleton pirates. I really liked this movie and I think it was really well done. My favourite part is when Captain Jack arrives into port as his boat sinks, and then steps off the mast onto the dock. Besides great action sequences there are some good comic momments, with 2 Pirates and 2 British Soldiers for comic relief. The were some cheesy sentimental momments between Will and Elizabeth, but I think they kept it down enough so as to make their point and to have some romance without overdoing it. The movie wouldn't be half as good if it weren't for Captain Jack and I think Johnny Depp deserves an award for his performance.
