Money, Money, Money While, I run this league because of my enjoyment for football and I am crazy enough to do it for free. Football Studs like Kurt Warner, Curtis Martian and Marvin Harrison expect to be paid. Money makes the NFL go round and too money acts like the mortar for building a franchise in Fantasy Football.
Each team Manager has 300 million dollars to spend for players
on his team. Managers are not limited to the amount they wish to
spend on a player (except for the league minimum of 1 million per
year and all bids must be divisible by 1 million), but they must also
assign a contract length. The amount of Money multiplied by the
contract length is the amount subtracted from the 300 million
dollar salary cap (example).
NOTE: there is a 7 year contract maximum
HOW A DRAFT IS CONDUCTED:
The draft Begins on June 11th. Everyday an email will be sent out
with a list of players. Team Managers have 3 days to return bids
on any players they wish to attempt to acquire. After three days
the players that received bids will be sent out again with the
highest bid for the players listed and the name of the manager
who made the bid. Any manager that wishes to counter with a
higher bid may do so, again within three days. This continues until
a player fails to receive a bid. (example).
DRAFTING ROOKIES:
On May 11th the Commissioner will contact Team Managers to
begin Drafting the new rookies. The draft order will be in reverse
order of League rankings from the previous season. There will be 2
rounds of rookie drafting and any manager that fails to contact the
commissioner before it ends will be subject to being replaced. Rookies
always sign on for league minimum and Team managers can choose
for 1, 2 or a 3 year contract.
FREE AGENTS & DROPPING PLAYERS:
If a player is dropped from a teams roster the manager is still liable
for the full contract length, the only exception is if/when a player retires.
After a players last contract year he returns to the free agency. Any
player picked up after the season begins can only be signed for a
1 year/1 million dollar contract.
