The War On Infogrames
Part One: Visions of Deceit

Chapter Four

The agents slowly made their way down the hillside.  The sun had set completely, and automatic searchlights began to patrol the area.  A large gate surrounded the Infogrames complex.  The building itself had nine floors and a ratherb large balcony on the roof.

Dragitron pointed to the ninth floor.  "That's our target.  Fong should be right there.  GWB, take out those searchlights."  In no time at all, GWB sniped out the searchlights.  Drag looked at Fury.  "Tear down that main gate."  Fury simply walked over to the metal gate and ripped it from its hinges.  At once, the entire fence surrounding the building collapsed.  "G:DAMM, that was awesome," said GWB.  Gojira64 noticed that the enemy did not pick up on their actions.

What he didn't notice was a piece of the cliff wall behind them slowly sliding open to reveal dozens of guards.

"I congratulate you on having made it this far," said a deep, booming voice behind the agents.  Fudge recognized the voice.  "I know that guy.  He's one of Fong's elite henchmen.  His name is Corpsefire."  Fury stared at Corpsefire for a moment.  "How do you know this guy?" he asked Fudge.  Fudge continued staring at Corpsefire.  "You could say we used to work together."

The agents just stared in awe at Corpsefire.  He was just that: a corpse on fire!  Small patches of fire rose up through his clothing.  His decaying form reeked of death and decay.  Corpsefire smiled an unearthly smile.  "You will all soon join me in hell."

Dragitron smirked.  "Son, I've fought scarier things than flaming zombies.  Ever take on a kaiju before with nothing more than a sword?"  Corpsefire laughed.  "Yes, actually."  He called forth one of his soldiers.  The young man trembled as he stepped forward.  Corpsefire snapped his fingers, and the soldier turned to ash.

GWB pulled out his Desert Eagles.  "Well, Drag, it looks like you can handle this corpse guy, so I'll just take out his support.'  He then began to pepper the soldiers with lead.  Gojira64 jumped behind a rock.  "Mind if I join you?"  He whipped out his Superdragon, a large machine gun, and began to tear apart the main force of Corpsefire's troops.

Fury looked towards Infogrames Headquarters.  "Oh shit!  They're trying to surround us!"  Almost at that same moment, a legion of guards poured out of the front door and opened fire.  Fury looked at Fudge.  "Are you ready to kick some ass?"  Fudge just smiled, and the two agents ran toward the guards screaming at the top of their lungs.

Dragitron and Corpsefire were at a standstill.  Neither opponent decided to make the first move.  Then Corpsefire spoke.  "You know, if I wanted to, I could completely incinerate your body with just a thought.  But I won't.  It wouldn't be fair.  I'll just tear you limb from limb!"  He ran at Dragitron, who sidestepped the attack and pulled out his twin sabers.  "You'll have to do better than that," he said.

G64 looked around at the carnage.  "We're going to need some help here."  He pressed the button on his watch again, and the crystal flew over to his location.  "I need your help, pal.  Take out those guards."  The crystal object flew off to the top of the cliff.  The guards looked up in terror.  A bright flash of light blinded everyone, and suddenly the entire cliff wall collapsed, sending rock, debris, and soldiers everywhere.  A piercing scream broke the unnerving silence, and when the smoke cleared, Gigan was standing tall where the secret rock opening once stood.

GWB whistled.  Fire Rodan flew over to him and began to flap his wings.  Strong gusts of wind tossed the remaining troops against the wall.  GWB pointed to the roof of Infogrames HQ.  "Drop me off there, pal."  The enormous winged beast grabbed GWB in his talons and flew off to the roof, where he dropped GWB onto the balcony.  "Thanks, Rodan."  He then crept inside the building.

Fury had his hands full, and called upon his kaiju to come and eliminate his opposition.  A small group of guards headed right for him, but was instantly incinerated by a red beam.  Meltdown Godzilla roared in anticipation for the coming battle.

Fudge looked up at Godzilla.  "Impressive," he said.  "But watch this!"  He closed his eyes, and suddenly the ocean's surface began to bubble until the enormous form of Aqua Mothra broke through the water's surface.

Corpsefire looked around.  "Ha!  You call those things "kaiju"?!  I'll show you a true kaiju!"  Without warning, the ground shook.  A fault cracked open and a distinctive roar shook the entire island.  The familiar form of Godzilla rose up out of the fault, but something was different.  This Godzilla seemed to fade in and out of existence!  Corpsefire grinned.  "Meet Phantom Godzilla!  He is unstoppable!"  Dragitron looked grimly at his foe.  Corpsefire turned to Drag.  "Now your souls are mine!"
