The War On Infogrames
Part One: Visions of Deceit

Chapter Five

As the demonic visage of a ghostly Godzilla climbed out of the crack, the other kaiju stared at the beast in awe.  The strange form of Phantom Godzilla made its way towards its foes, and Corpsefire laughed.  "You see, Dragitron?  There's no way you can stop us!  MWAHAHAHA!"

The phantom beast looked toward the cyborg kaiju Gigan.  It roared in anticipation.  Gigan returned the roar by clanging his arms together.  But it was Meltdown Godzilla who made the first attack.

A blast of searing nuclear energy headed straight for Phantom Godzilla, but the creature simply faded out of existence, literally becoming a specter glowing in the moonlight.  The beam went straight through its intended target and blasted the ground, creating a large crater.  Phantom Godzilla opened his massive maw, and a light blue beam shot out, hitting Meltdown Godzilla in the chest.  The fiery kaiju hit the ground hard, and struggled to his feet.

Meltdown Godzilla prepared another blast when suddenly, his eyes widened.  His entire body was solidifying into rock!  With one last wail, Meltdown Godzilla became a mountain of granite and moved no more.  Fury looked up in time to see the horrific transformation.  He screamed in rage.  "No!  Meltdown!  What have they done?!"

Meanwhile, Guy Wearing Black had managed to infiltrate the top floor balcony.  He kicked the door open and saw two guards reaching for their guns.  In one quick motion, he whipped out his guns and knocked the guards onto the ground.  As he turned the corner, a bullet whizzed past his ear.  This is gonna be fun, he thought to himself.

GWB jumped behind a nearby desk, guns blazing, and managed to pick off two of the guards.  "Let's see... there were five guards when I came in here."  He looked up and saw a chandelier above the three remaining guards.  Without a second glance, he shot through the chain that held the chandelier and it fell on the remaining thugs.  "And now there are none," he said as he smiled gleefully.

Suddenly, the door at the end of the room opened.  "How nice of you to join us.  I've been expecting the Agency to come calling for a while now."  It was Kirby Fong.  GWB simply smiled.  "I knew I'd find you sooner or later, Fong.  Before I kill you, tell me why you've decided to port G:DAMM to the X-Box....with bonus material!!!"  Fong walked over to GWB.  ""We're not so different, you and I," he said. GWB looked at him strangely. "Yes we are. You are a power-mad loser, and I'm the man who's who's about to introduce you brain to my little friends." "And those are?" Fong asked. "Fifty caliber bullets," GWB replied as he smirked at Fong through his shades.

Fong looked up for a moment, as if to recollect his thoughts.  "Oh yeah, you're right," he said with a smile as he pulled out a handgun.  "Except, I'm going to kill you."

In a flash, GWB jumped backwards, and Fong's bullet barely missed its target.  But GWB's bullet claimed its victim.  The body of Kirby Fong slumped over onto a nearby desk.  Guy Wearing Black smiled again.  "And that's the end of that chapter," he said.

GWB turned and began to head for the exit.  However, he didn't notice Fong getting up with ease.  The madman's hand began to morph into a strange liquid metal.  GWB turned around in time to barely avoid getting gutted in the stomach by a shining blade.  "Holy crap!" he shouted.  "This guy's a terminator!!!"
