The War On Infogrames
Part Two: Echoes of History

Chapter One

It had been three days since the destruction of Infogrames Headquarters.  Anonymous Benefactor had once again set up a meeting with his agents.  Strangely enough, he knew of Black16 and his hidden agenda, but wouldn't reveal much at the meeting.

Gojira64 didn't know what to think.  Ever since that fateful day, his mind had been wandering.  Should the other agents trust the entity?  And why did Dragitron keep staring at Black16's eyes?  These questions and more swirled through G64's head.

Fortunately, his daydream didn't last long.  Guy Wearing Black knocked on G64's door.  They were all on a cruise ship heading for the South Pacific, where Bill Gates' secret base lay hidden.  Each agent had been given his own quarters, and GWB wanted nothing more than to get out of his confined space.

G64 opened the door.  He looked at GWB and laughed.  "Look at you!" he said.  "You're drunk off your ass, GWB!"

Indeed he was.  GWB's entire body swayed back and forth, seemingly ready to fall over.  G64 propped GWB on his shoulder and brought him over to the bed.  He opened the porthole, but he wasn't in time.

Guy Wearing Black threw up all over the bed.  "Sorry, man," he slurred.  "Let me get that for you."  Then GWB fell backwards onto the bed and went right to sleep.

Gojira64 just sighed.  "It's gonna be one of those days."

-----------------------------------

Dragitron stared into his whiskey.  No matter how hard he tried, the vision would not dissipate.  He could still see those evil eyes glaring at him.  Even in his sleep, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched.

Without warning, Black16 appeared in front of him.  "Shouldn't you be worried more about the mission than your past?" the being asked.  Dragitron continued to stare at his drink, but replied anyway.  "I don't listen to people I don't trust.  Maybe if you told me who you really are, I'd be a little less uneasy."

Black16 put his three-fingered hand on Dragitron's shoulder.  "I mean you no harm, great warrior.  I know of your haunted past.  The answers you seek will be revealed to you shortly.  It will come to you in time."  Dragitron jumped from his seat without warning.  "Time!?" he shouted.  "Time!?  I've spent the last fifteen years of my life waiting to find my father's killer!  Instead, you appear, and I can't shake the feeling that you were there when it all happened."

Black16 stared at Dragitron, hoping to calm him down.  Drag stared back for a moment.  "You WERE there, weren't you?" he asked.  Black16 turned away.  "I ... can't tell you anything now.  Like I said before, all will be revealed on the island.  Gather your strength.  You'll need it."  Then Black16 disappeared through the door.

Drag continued to shout.  "Damn you, tell me what you know!  Those eyes... those unspeakable eyes!  You have them!  Tell me what you know!"  Then he slumped down into a corner of the room and began to weep.
