The War On Infogrames
Part Two: Echoes of History

Chapter Seven

The orbs began to vibrate.  They continued to hover as Fury, Fudge, and Black16 prepared themselves for an eventual assault.  They didn't have to wait long.

The left orb shimmered, and suddenly launched itself at Fury, ramming him into the wall and knocking the wind out of him.  Fudge placed his broadsword in front of him, deflecting the other orb.  Black16 rushed to Fury's side, who was holding his stomach attempting to catch his breath.  The entity looked at the orbs and motioned for them to follow him.  He hovered off to the center of the room, and the orbs tried to surround him.  They gleamed as they prepared to ram him.

And ram him they did.  Traveling at an abnormally high speed, the orbs slammed into Black16, and a cloud of dust enveloped the room.  When the dust settled, Black16 was nowhere to be found, but the orbs were crushed and lay on the floor, motionless.  Fury and Fudge looked around.  "Where is he?" Fudge asked.  Suddenly the door slid open.  The agents ran out of the room and headed up the staircase.  When they reached the top, Black16 was waiting for them.  "How come you didn't wait for me?" he joked.

Fudge had had enough.  "Who or what are you?  Tell us now!  I think we're entitled to know SOMETHING about you!"  Black16 looked at the ground.  Then he quickly stared into Fudge's eyes.  "When this mission is over, I will tell you all."  He disappeared before Fudge could say anything more.

"Got any more of those grenades?" G64 yelled to GWB over the sound of gunfire.  GWB shook his head from side to side.  G64 looked over the desk and saw a row of guards on both the left and right side of the room.  There were two rows of desks, one on the left side and one on the right.  The middle path was clear, except for one guard at the door on the other side of the room.  He had just gotten a brilliant idea.

G64 tossed his shotgun to GWB.  "I won't be needing this,' he said to a bewildered GWB.  He then cart wheeled across the center path as the guards fired on him.  They missed G64 and hit each other.  The last guard was unsure what to think, but he didn't have much time anyway.  G64 finally reached him, leaped over the astonished lackey, and broke his neck from behind with his hands.  His limp body dropped to the ground.

GWB looked over the desk.  "What the hell was that?!" he asked.  G64 laughed.  "I've always wanted to do that."  Before they could do or say anything else, the door blew open and a body was sent crashing into G64's back.  GWB ran over to help him when he realized that what had just bowled over his partner was Dragitron!

Dragitron was breathing heavily and could barely move.  His armor had multiple scratches as well as his face, but the eye patch covering what was left of his left eye remained untouched.  The monstrous form of the kaijunoid walked into the room.  It was gnashing its teeth and licking its reptilian lips at the sight of fresh meat.  Behind it, Bill Gates laughed maniacally.

GWB looked at the unconscious forms of his fellow agents, and then he whipped out his Desert Eagles, riddling the beast with bullets.  Blood trickled from the wounds, but the monstrosity pressed on.  Then GWB remembered the shotgun handed to him by G64, and as the creature opened its mouth to bite GWB's head off, the shotgun went off, blasting a hole in the back of the creature's skull.  It moaned for a second, and then dropped to the floor.  Gates just stood there with his mouth open.

G64 regained consciousness and grabbed Gates unexpectedly.  Before anyone could do anything, the sound of shattered glass rang through their ears.  Gates smiled as he struggled.  "My masterpiece has just escaped!  Soon it will grow to ten times its original size, and then destroy you all!"  G64 tossed Gates into his office, where Gates' head slammed into the wall.  He dropped to the floor in a heap.  Then GWB threw G64 his shotgun.  The agents looked out the window and saw a man-sized GINO roaring in confusion as it continued to grow.

Dragitron began to murmur.  "Kaiju Kandy... bad ... turns people... into kaiju... must stop... Infogrames... "  GWB and G64 looked at each other.  Then they ran to Dragitron, who began to spit up blood.  "He's in bad shape," said GWB.  "Let's get him out of here."
